To allow our clients to make a

n informed decision we will always strive to provide up-to-date information which is easy to understand and relevent to each clients specific needs. Our office at 49 Rose Street, Aberdeen has been open for business since the 6th of January 2014 and has been highly praised by our clients. Jayne Bryce, our Audiologist, will make a recommendation based purely on each clients specific needs to ensure that the correct equipment is provided. All clients will be given lifelong service and after-care to release the full potential of the hearing aids! Jayne has over 25 years of experience in Audiology since starting her career in the NHS, then qualifying as an Audiologist in 1990. Before moving to Aberdeen in 1998, Jayne worked for a leading American Hearing Aid Manufacturer in Manchester and for the last 16 years she worked at Aberdeen Hearing Services, fitting private hearing aids. Our website www.brycehearingservices.co.uk is now up and running and allows clients to create appointments online, find information on aftercare and services and also allows anyone to take a written hearing test by entering a few details and then answering questions. There is also a page that allows you to contact us via the website. The blog on our website features interesting, hearing related articles that may be of interest to our clients.

A really successful Widex Open Day today, and a huge thank you to Nayab and Emily for coming up to Aberdeen to support Jayne and me, sharing their expertise and answering any questions our clients had throughout the day.

We decided to host part of the day at The Albyn, giving our clients the opportunity to experience Widex Allure and its Clarity Boost technology in a genuine, challenging listening environment.

Rather than simply explaining the benefits of new technology during a fitting in the clinic, I think there is real value in allowing clients to experience the difference for themselves. A busy restaurant provides exactly the kind of background noise where many hearing aid users can struggle with speech understanding.

Everyone around the table who trialled the hearing aids noticed an improvement when using Clarity Boost, which made for a very successful lunch and, more importantly, gave our clients a practical demonstration of how the technology could benefit them in everyday life.

I really enjoy doing events like this. Not only do they allow us to demonstrate hearing technology outside the clinical environment, but they also give us the chance to spend more time with our clients, learn more about the situations that matter to them and ultimately provide more individualised hearing care.

A brilliant day all round. A big thank you again to Nayab and Emily for making the trip up, and to the wider WSA team for the continued support they give us at Bryce Hearing Services.

One of the challenges of demonstrating new hearing aid features during a fitting appointment is that a quiet clinic simply doesn’t reflect the real-world environments where people need them most.

Today, Jayne and I took two of our long-term clients—one a Phonak wearer and the other a Widex wearer—to The Albyn to experience these features in a restaurant setting. With background conversations, chairs moving, glasses clinking and even an ice bucket being emptied, it provided the perfect opportunity to compare everyday listening with and without Phonak Spheric Speech Clarity and Widex Clarity Boost.

Experiencing these features in a real listening environment, rather than simply demonstrating them in the clinic, gives clients a much clearer understanding of how they can help in everyday life. It was a fantastic afternoon of real-world audiology, rounded off with a lovely lunch at The Albyn.

Now that Scotland’s World Cup journey has unfortunately come to an end, our attention has turned to the next great sporting event of the summer, Wimbledon.

Steeped in tradition, precision and excellence, Wimbledon is a celebration of focus, performance and attention to detail. Those same qualities are at the heart of what we do every day as audiologists.

Clear communication and good hearing play an important role in helping people stay connected to the moments that matter, whether that’s enjoying the atmosphere of Centre Court, following every rally from the commentary, or simply sharing the excitement with family and friends.

Our latest window display celebrates this iconic tradition, and we hope it brings a little Wimbledon spirit to everyone passing by.
