Audio Describers Aberdeen Audio Description Aberdeen are Professionals who provide Description for theBlind and Visually impaired. Please ask questions :)

Including at His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen Art Gallery, in Aberdeen, Scotland. We provide audio descrpition services for media and advice. AUDIO DESCRIPTION is the act of relaying what can be seen to the visually impaired. Anyone can use this service, who would like extra input about what is the important thing that is happening on stage. This professional service is offered for over 14 Shows, per year, at HMT, with no extra charge to the customer. The Description is delivered live from a booth, to the customers headsets in the audience. This site is for information about upcoming AD Shows, plus information for Audio Describers and anyone interested.

Audio Description – An Introduction: Sat 5 Sept, 10am. A free, online session hosted by Amanda Foster, Chair of Audio Description Association of Scotland, and a service user who is blind, and Dr Anna Fancett, an experienced Audio Describer, Academic and Storyteller.

In this informal session, Amanda and Anna will explore what audio description is, how it works and who it’s for. This online session is aimed at anyone who interested in understanding more about audio description, using the service, as well as family members, friends, or supporters of visually impaired audience members who want to understand it better. Come with questions, leave with answers!
