Searching for Satyrus follows acclaimed filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer Rena Effendi as she retraces her late father's footsteps through the breathtaking yet war-scarred landscapes of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

A celebration lunch for the older members of our community. During June's Open Gate Festival, local fruit and veg growers will be opening their garden gates to visitors. This is a great chance for people to speak to them about what they do, the highs and lows and, in particular, for newbie growers to get support and advice about starting out.

And there's a chance to visit two primary schools' garden classrooms...

Thursday, June 11: Open at garden Grandtully Primary School - see what the pupils are growing and find out more about their food project. 1.30pm to 3pm.

Friday, June 12: Join Kenmore Primary school pupils in their garden and learn with them. 1.30pm to 3pm.

Errichel farm tour - Saturday, June 13
Join the Errichel team for this fascinating tour around this small productive farm with a range of animals, poultry and an orchard. 10am to 11am, £8, booking essential via email: [email protected]. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Balhomais farm tour - Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14
A tour round a small productive farm with cattle and vegetables. Learn where our food comes from and the complexities of growing it. Tours last about an hour, 10am and 2pm starts. Free to attend, no need to book, but email [email protected] if you require further information.
