🧱 LEGO® Therapy Groups – Thank You! 💛

A huge thank you for all of the interest and enquiries we’ve received about our new LEGO® Therapy Groups. The response has been amazing, and we’re so excited to get started!

Our groups are designed to help children develop social communication, emotional regulation, confidence and teamwork through fun, structured play in a supportive environment.

Each session includes four important roles, giving every child the opportunity to practise different skills:

🧱 The Engineer – Reads and explains the building instructions.

🧱 The Supplier – Finds and organises the correct LEGO® pieces.

🧱 The Builder – Listens carefully and builds the model using the instructions given.

🧱 The Team Captain – Encourages communication, problem-solving, turn-taking and teamwork, helping everyone work together successfully.

If you’ve already registered your interest, please complete and return your child’s medical and registration forms as soon as possible. Once we’ve received them, your child will be allocated to the most suitable group and session time based on age, needs and availability.

We can’t wait to welcome your children and watch their confidence, friendships and communication skills grow—one brick at a time! 💙🧩

Firstly… thank you! 💚

I just wanted to apologise if I haven’t replied to everyone about our new LEGO® Therapy groups yet.

We’ve had such an incredible response over the weekend that we’re now looking at opening a third Friday group! 🤯

Thank you so much for your patience. I’ll be getting back to everyone tomorrow once I’ve worked through all of the enquiries.

Today has been spent in the clinic making what feels like the hundredth decision… this time, choosing paint colours for the doors! 🎨

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing little snippets of the new Sensational Skin & Wellbeing clinic as everything comes together. I don’t want to reveal too much though—I really want the full space to be a surprise!

I can’t wait to finally open the doors, welcome you all in, and hand out our launch goodie bags. 💚

✔️We are delighted to be working together to bring specialist, child-centred support to children, young people and families across Monmouthshire and the surrounding areas.

👋 Bethan is a Specialist Educator and founder of Empower Sensory Services, with over 22 years’ experience supporting children and young people with additional learning needs, sensory processing differences and complex SEND profiles across SEN schools, resource bases and specialist settings.

💁‍♀️Bethan holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is trained in a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including PECS, TEACCH, Attention Autism, Precision Teaching, Sign-a-Long, Rebound Therapy, Zones of Regulation and Team Teach at Trainer level, alongside trauma-informed practice and epilepsy awareness.

💚 brings a calm, practical and highly experienced approach to complex needs and is passionate about improving outcomes for children, families and the professionals who support them.

💚 Kelly is an Occupational Therapist with 20 years’ experience across paediatrics, CAMHS, sensory integration, sensory attachment, trauma, neurodiversity, emotional wellbeing and family support. She is the founder of Sensational Skin & Wellbeing and is passionate about helping children and families build confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and meaningful participation in everyday life.
