The Big Parklands Charity Challenge starts today!

Throughout September, residents and colleagues across Parklands will be taking on a range of challenges and activities to raise funds for our three charity partners: Highland Hospice, Mikeysline and Feeling Blue.

🌿🌸🍃🎨 Sensory craft afternoon inspired by nature 🎨🍃🌸🌿

We had a great experience when Ez visited on Saturday, being crafty using elements from nature. We were inspired looking out to the garden to see the changing colours while some squirrels and a rabbit were playing about to entertain us. Thanks for the time spent with us, Ez, it was fun having you!🌸

🌸☕️We had a lovely coffee morning today to wish our manager, Louise, a very happy birthday tomorrow. It was good to have family and friends there to celebrate. A special thanks to Irene for all the special treats.🧁🌸

With thousands of young people across Scotland receiving their exam results this week, colleagues and residents at Speyside Care Home have been sharing a simple message: there really is .

Whatever your results, they don't define your future. There are many different paths to a rewarding career.

Manager Louise studied childcare before working in a nursery and eventually moving into adult care. Ailie started as a housekeeper before becoming a care assistant, while Fiona discovered a career in care after studying photography.

Residents also shared their own words of encouragement. Nan's advice was to "keep smiling and be happy", Betty reminded young people that it's okay not to go straight into work, while Annie encouraged school leavers to "keep an open mind." Great advice!

🌸🌿Out and about this weekend at Speyside…🌿🌸
🍔Our barbecue was held on Friday, thanks to Andy! We were glad the weather kept fine and had delicious burgers, sausages and salad for lunch.🌞🌭
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Highland dancing at Aberlour Highland Games on Saturday brought back memories to Lilian and Rhoda was happy to see family attending the festivities too🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶
