It’s very last minute but if you’re in need I have 2 spaces that have become available tomorrow 28th.

I absolutely agree with this

What therapeutic outcomes include, and what they do not.

Therapeutic outcomes are multi dimensional, which is exactly why they are meaningful.

✅ What they include:
🟢 Symptoms: less pain intensity, less pain interference, fewer flare ups
🟢 Function: easier walking, sitting, lifting, training, working, sleeping
🟢 Regulation: calmer nervous system, less vigilance, better recovery
🟢 Understanding: less fear, better pacing, clearer self management
🟢 Safety: feeling listened to, respected, in control

🚫 What they do not include:
❌ A named technique
❌ A protocol or brand
❌ Proof of a specific mechanical ‘fix’
❌ A guarantee of cause and effect

📌 A client can improve without you needing a dramatic explanation. Saying ‘you are realigned’ or ‘we corrected your structure’ is not an outcome, it is an interpretation. If it is not being measured, treat it as a hypothesis, not a fact.

🤝 Also worth remembering: a strong therapeutic relationship often predicts better outcomes, and it is not the same thing as technique. Your communication, consent, pacing, and professionalism are part of what clients respond to.

The snow may have changed your plans for the day but if you’re able, go outside and make the most of it. The sun is shining here and everything is so pretty under a dusting of white. The fresh air and movement is great for you too.

Amidst all the huge resolutions and big ideas for the year ahead, how about making a choice to treat yourself well and with kindness?

The aeroplane analogy always works - if you don’t have your oxygen mask on, you can’t help anyone else, so no matter what your commitments and other responsibilities are, look after yourself first and you’ll be in a better place to support others and do what you need to do.

Eat, sleep and move well, take a moment to notice what’s around you and appreciate what you have.

And if you’re aching, sore or tired, book in for a massage with me and revitalise your muscles so you’re ready to go again.

It seems far too early to be saying this but my last appointments before Christmas are next Wednesday and there’s two left as I’ve added in the 8.30am as an early option.

Gift vouchers are also still available either for a specific treatment or an amount towards a treatment. I can email the voucher directly to you to print out yourself (or to forward on to the recipient) or I can print them out to be collected.

I had to share this both because I love the stretching Santas and because the answer is easy - NO! As they point out below - you just need a body…

TLDR: No, not at all..

While it’s true that sports massage can be incredibly helpful for people who play sport or have physically demanding jobs, the benefits go far beyond that.

Sports Massage and soft tissue therapy is for clients of all ages, body types, and activity levels, even Santa!

It’s not just about performance. Massage can help with everyday aches and pains, stiffness from long hours at a desk, tension from stress, and that general “my body feels tight” feeling.

There are many potential benefits, but some of the most common include:

✨ Reduced pain and muscle tension [1]
✨ Improved flexibility and mobility
✨ Support for mental wellbeing [2]
✨ And honestly… they usually feel amazing!

You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from a sports massage, you just need to have a body.
