Abingdon Court Care Home

Abingdon Court specialises in the provision of residential, nursing and dementia care. You can choose to be as involved as much as you wish.

The home recently underwent an extensive refurbishment, all of the bedrooms are single en-suite and furnished to the highest standards. There is a choice of lounges and spacious dining rooms, plus a tea room, shop and hairdressing salon. The beautiful courtyard gardens can be viewed from many areas of the home and are enjoyed by all and are a hub of activity and host to many events during the warm

er months. Abingdon Court is easily accessible, less than half a mile from the A34 and the historic and bustling Abingdon town centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants, and beautiful walks along the Thames. There is onsite parking available and the home is easily reached by public transport, with a bus stop right outside. The social and activity calendar at Abingdon is a busy one with a variety of activities each day. Our activities team continually consult our residents about ideas and they work hard to ensure that the social program is engaging and fun, with something for everyone.

Lovely warm sunny day, but we managed to find the shadiest part of the garden to enjoy one of Abingdon Court's most-favourite activities which is Just Bowl.

We love celebrating birthdays here at Abingdon court especially the big birthdays. Last week we celebrated a 101st birthday with some special visitors from the Royal Navy! 💙

We've been taking inspiration from Wimbledon, residents created beautiful floral displays using a variety of colours and styles. It was a lovely opportunity to get creative, enjoy great conversation, and celebrate the spirit of this iconic summer tournament. Well done to everyone who took part! 💐

Arts and crafts is definitely a favourite here at Abingdon Court with lots of designs to choose from and different crafts to use, it's a great way to relax and unwind 💙

We had a lovely visit from a very talented pianist. We enjoyed the various pieces of music and sang along to all the music being played.

The people living with us thoroughly enjoy the local church service when it visits the home. They love coming together to sing cheerful hymns, creating an uplifting atmosphere that everyone looks forward to!

Jigsaws seem to be very popular here at Abingdon Court recently, they say that it’s very therapeutic whilst listening to relaxing music!
