“I have been visiting the YPs at Abaan for just over 3 years.

I have felt very privileged too get to know the young people who have been staying at Aaban. I have watched many of them change and grow during their time with the support they receive.

I have provided holistic sessions of self care including reflexology, manicures, hand massages, mini pedicures. We have also done lots of sessions of art work and also games. And sometimes a bit of dancing here and there :)

The YPs always engage in the sessions and learn to be able to trust myself which I feel is an honour. I am also a BACP registered counsellor so that is an added bonus as these skills come into every session.

Abaan staff have always also been a pleasure to work alongside and they are very supportive and inclusive.

It’s a pleasure for me to come to see you all.”

One of our amazing young people supported by the OT team hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning for the staff and young people at Aaban ☕💚

Together, we managed to raise an incredible £279.92 to support people battling cancer.

Thank you to everyone who donated and showed their support — every contribution makes a difference.
