What you're carrying doesn't always stay hidden.
We can become very good at putting on a brave face.
Going to work.
Looking after everyone.
Getting things done.
Saying, "I'm fine."
But when we're carrying stress, sadness, anger or emotional exhaustion, it can quietly show up in other ways.
In our patience.
Our reactions.
Our physical and emotional energy.
The way we speak to ourselves.
And sometimes, in how present we're able to be with the people we love.
Not because we're doing anything wrong, simply because it's difficult to keep pouring from a place that already feels depleted.
Taking care of your emotional wellbeing isn't selfish and it doesn't mean putting everyone else's needs aside.
Sometimes it simply means recognising that your needs matter too.
Because when you begin to feel calmer, lighter and more emotionally supported, you don't just experience life differently.
You can begin to show up differently in it too.
And while you're so busy being available for everyone else, remember this:
You're worthy of that same care too.
So today, give yourself permission to be there for you.
