I didn’t choose aesthetics to follow trends. I chose it to raise standards.

There are easier ways to build a business than investing in education, qualifications and doing things the right way—but that’s never been my goal.

With over 20 years in the beauty industry, I chose the regulated route because my clients deserve safe, ethical, evidence-based care. I’ve completed my Level 5 qualification and I’m advancing to Level 7, because I believe learning should never stop.

CMC stands for Clearly More Clarity—honest advice, consultation-led care, natural aesthetics, and putting my clients first. Every treatment I offer is built on integrity, not trends.

Psoriasis isn’t “just a skin condition.” It’s a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect confidence, mental wellbeing, relationships, and even increase the risk of other inflammatory health conditions. It’s time we stopped judging what we see and started understanding what people are really living with. 💛

August is Psoriasis Awareness Month, and as skin professionals, we have a responsibility to educate just as much as we treat.

Psoriasis affects millions of people worldwide, yet many still hear comments like “It’s only dry skin” or “Is it contagious?” The reality is very different.

Psoriasis is caused by an overactive immune system, which speeds up skin cell turnover and leads to inflamed, scaly plaques. But the impact goes far beyond the skin. Many people also live with pain, itching, psoriatic arthritis, anxiety, depression, reduced confidence, and an increased risk of other inflammatory conditions, including cardiovascular disease.

No one chooses psoriasis, and no one should ever feel embarrassed because of it.

As aesthetic and skincare professionals, we may not diagnose or treat psoriasis, but we can recognise the signs, understand its impact, avoid inappropriate treatments during active flare-ups, and encourage clients to seek appropriate medical advice when needed.

Education creates understanding. Understanding creates compassion. Compassion breaks stigma.
