Not really sure if this is a post about the โjoysโ of menopause, firewalking or self-sabotageโฆ all of the above, I think. ๐คฃ๐ฅ
At the weekend I put on my Firewalking Instructor hat and had the privilege of being fire tender for a wonderful group of people taking part in a firewalk.
No matter how many times Iโm involved in one, Iโm still in awe of people every single time โ their reasons for doing it, the nerves beforehand, and the sheer power of taking those steps across the coals. ๐ฅ
Howeverโฆ
While standing beside this HUGE roaring fire, I suddenly had the slightly ridiculous realisation that just a few hours earlier Iโd been in an apothecary spending a small fortune on tinctures and herbal teas in the hope of easing my menopause hot flushes. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฃ
Apparently my approach to managing overheating isโฆ stand beside an enormous fire.
Makes perfect sense. ๐๐ฅ
On a slightly more useful note, there are essential oils which may help support some of the symptoms associated with menopause. If thatโs something youโre struggling with, you can book an Aromatherapy Massage and we can create a bespoke blend especially for you. ๐
And if, on the other hand, this post has made you think:
๐ฅ Forget the massage - I want to walk across the hot coalsโฆ
The next firewalk at the magical Tir na nOg Holistic Centre is Saturday 26th September, which you can book via their website.
If you have questions about either just drop me a message.
