We have telephone issues due to last nights storms, BT are aware and attempting to fix. You can call the surgery but we cannot make outgoing call from Alfreton. Any call backs may take a little longer than usual.

We're piloting Jackie™, our new digital receptionist, at Limes Medical Centre from tomorrow. Jackie will help answer calls more quickly — especially during our busy morning periods — so you spend less time waiting on hold.

Just speak to her the way you would our reception team: explain what you need in your own words, and she'll ask a few follow-up questions to make sure our staff have everything required to help you.

Like most GP practices, we get a huge number of calls — especially in the morning — and we know waiting on hold is frustrating.

When you speak to Jackie, full sentences help her understand you faster — just like they would a human receptionist.

Instead of: "Appointment."
Try: "I'd like to book an appointment, I've had a cough for two weeks."

The clearer the explanation, the quicker we can help. 🙂
