We have been asked by the family of our much-loved former resident Helen McAteer to share the post below with the details of Helen's funeral on 4 June. We are more than happy to share this for a wonderful person and family.

Peacefully at Marchglen Care Centre on 19th May 2026, Helen (Nee Hilliard), aged 70 years. Loving mum of Helen, John and Maureen.  Cherished nan of Kevin, Emma, Marc and Megan.  Great Nan of Ciaran, Logan and Kayla.  Beloved sister to Ann and Sandra.  Will also be dearly missed by all her family...

There are still some tickets remaining for the Jim Clark Psychic Medium Fundraising Floor Show in aid of Marchglen Care Centre at Alloa Bowling Club on Friday 5 June. Tickets are £20 which includes a buffet and can be purchased by emailing [email protected]. Everyone is welcome.

🤸‍♀️⛹️‍♀️ Yesterday was our Marchglen Staff Sports Day. Races included egg and spoon race, sack race, and three legged. There was also a tug of war and other fun events. Our residents watched on and everyone had a great time, with refreshments provided. Gold medals were awarded too! Here's an album of around 40 photos showing all that went on.

🎨 Creative Mojo Central Scotland's Gail visited us here at Marchglen earlier this week and as always, our residents enjoyed painting and arts & crafts, as you can see in these photos. We look forward to Gail's next visit!
