Resident May recently spent some time helping Housekeeper Anne, lending a hand with everyday tasks around the home.

It was a lovely opportunity for May to get involved and work alongside a colleague, sharing a few chats along the way.

Moments like these reflect the importance of choice, contribution and keeping up with the activities that matter to each resident. It’s all part of making the home feel like home. ✨

Eyes down, everyone... it was time for Prize Bingo! 🎉

Residents gathered for a fun afternoon of numbers, anticipation and a little friendly competition, all with some great prizes up for grabs.

There were plenty of keen players around the table as the numbers were called and winning lines began to appear. Moments like these are a great way for residents to come together, enjoy each other's company and take part in activities they know and love.

Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who joined in.✨

Celebrating National Cheese and Wine Day

There was a great atmosphere at Parklands as residents came together to celebrate National Cheese and Wine Day. 🧀🍷

The afternoon was a chance to relax, enjoy a selection of cheeses and wines, and spend time chatting with friends around the table.

Simple moments like these often spark conversation and bring people together, making for an enjoyable afternoon shared in good company. ✨

Coffee, Conversation and a Good Book

Sometimes, all you need is a good book and a cup of coffee. ☕

Residents recently enjoyed a relaxed Coffee and Books session, spending time together while chatting about their favourite reads and enjoying a warm drink.

These quieter moments are just as important, offering an opportunity to slow down, share interests and enjoy good company. It made for a lovely afternoon at Parklands. 💙✨

Exploring the Local Area with Cycling Without Age

The Cycling Without Age trishaw rides continue to be a highlight for residents at Parklands. 🚲

Residents have been enjoying more trips out and about, taking in the local area and spending time together while exploring familiar surroundings from a different perspective.

We're currently looking forward to our next block of bookings and can't wait for more residents to enjoy these outings. It's always lovely to see people getting out into the community and making the most of these special experiences. 💙✨

Game On in the Internet Café

A little friendly competition was on the agenda as residents enjoyed a mix of games in our Internet Café.

From interactive games on the computer to activities at the sensory table, there were plenty of opportunities to get involved, try something different and enjoy time together.

These sessions offer a great variety of activities, giving residents the chance to explore different interests while sharing laughs and conversations along the way. ✨

A Taste of National Beer Day at Parklands

There was something a little different on the menu at Parklands as residents came together for a beer tasting session to celebrate National Beer Day. 🍺

The session gave residents the opportunity to sample a selection of beers, compare flavours and chat about their favourites. It sparked plenty of conversation, with memories and stories being shared around the table along the way.

It was a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon spent in good company, proving that sometimes the simplest activities make for the best get-togethers.

🎉🎂 Celebrating Adrian's 68th Birthday at Parklands Care Home 🎂🎉

Birthdays are always special, but Adrian's 68th birthday came with an extra surprise that made the day even more memorable.

A huge thank you to our wonderful colleague Louisa, who brought along her motorbike for Adrian to see. Having been a keen motorbike rider himself, Adrian shared that he once owned a blue bike, making the visit a lovely opportunity to reminisce and reconnect with cherished memories ❤️

It was fantastic to see Adrian enjoying the surprise and sharing stories from his riding days.
Sometimes it's the personal touches that make a celebration truly meaningful.

From everyone at Parklands Care Home, we'd like to wish Adrian a very happy 68th birthday and hope he had a wonderful day celebrating!

💇‍♀️A Special Trip to the Hairdresser for Isobel 💇‍♀️

A little pamper can go a long way!

Our resident Isobel enjoyed a lovely visit to see Jackie at the hairdresser's, taking some time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved treat

From the warm welcome to the finished style, the outing was a wonderful opportunity to get out and about, enjoy some one-to-one time, and leave feeling refreshed and looking fabulous 💇‍♀️

It's the little moments like these that bring so much joy and help create special memories ❤️

A big thank you to Jackie for making Isobel's visit so enjoyable! 😊
