Summering

I don’t know how many summers you lost to shame, heartache or fear. Nor do I know how many summers you have left, in this lottery draw of life. But I know one thing…you have this summer, right here, right now. And I know something else too - you are perfect and worthy, so worthy. Because you’re nature. And nature unfurls in the summer, that’s the law. Nature blooms and stretches with petals wide open to the light and roots reaching deep into fertile soil. Nature thrives in summer. Bold in the knowing that bounty is all around. And deserved. If you find yourself less able to care for their approval. If you find yourself drawn to laughter, joy, and pulled from darkness and drudgery. Be pulled, my friend. It is summer. You are summering. And you’re right on time.

🌸 Sometimes you just need to get out in nature🌸

And that doesn’t have to mean making a big trip, taking a long walk or climbing a mountain (unless you want to, of course).

It can be as simple as:

☀️Visiting a local beauty spot, pond or stream on your lunch break
🌳Going for a gentle stroll in your nearest park
👣 Walking down your street with the dog

Even just standing in your garden is enough to make a difference.

Taking a break from your screens, breathing some fresh air.

It has been shown that spending as little as 10 minutes outside can have a huge impact on your mood.

So if you do one thing today, step outside and take a breath.

Grief can feel heavy, unpredictable and at times, all-consuming.

There may be moments when the pain feels close, and others when you catch a glimpse of the light again. Remember, both can exist at the same time.

Acknowledging your pain doesn’t mean giving up hope. It means honouring your experience while gently allowing space for healing, in your own time.

You don’t have to rush the process. There is no “right” way to grieve.

Be patient with yourself. Light can still find its way in 💛
