Happy International Dog Day! ๐พ
If youโve got a dog, you already have one very enthusiastic reason to get up, get outside and keep moving every day.
Those regular walks are good for us too, helping us stay active, keep our joints moving and spend some valuable time outdoors. And unlike a gym session, thereโs usually someone waiting by the door to make sure we donโt skip it!
But when knee, hip, back, foot or ankle pain starts making those walks uncomfortable, itโs easy to gradually walk a little less or avoid the longer routes you used to enjoy.
If aches or pains are getting between you and your daily dog walk, donโt assume you simply have to put up with them. Our physiotherapy team can assess whatโs causing the problem and help you get back to walking more comfortably.
Of course, some dogs take their interest in exercise a little further...
Hereโs Zoeโs daughter Emily with Dottie, who appears to be checking for perfect hip alignment during the clam! Itโs a great post-run strengthener for the glutes, and clearly no repetition is getting past Dottieโs watchful eye. ๐ถ
Weโd love to see how your dog keeps you active too. Share a photo in the comments and introduce them to us!
