Timperley Nursing Home Timperley is a dementia and nursing care home, purpose built in 2009 in the Cheshire village of Timperley.

It has won many awards including the Trafford Dementia Kite Mark Award, Dignity in Care Award and the North-west End of Life Care Award.

We were proud to host the start and finish of the Manchester leg of the Championing Social Care Great British Care Cycle Relay Race, welcoming cyclists as they completed an inspiring 96km journey in support of social care.💜🚴🏽
It was a privilege to welcome special guests, including local MP Connor Rand, who officially cut the ribbon and sent the cyclists on their way. Our Operations Manager, Pauline Parker-Moor, also gave a wonderful speech highlighting the importance of community, care, and the incredible work across the social care sector.

Despite challenging weather conditions, with rain for much of the event and strong winds later on, the spirit of our community remained strong. Residents came out to wave, cheer, and show their support as the cyclists set off, creating a fantastic atmosphere.👏

In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome the cyclists back across the finish line, where they received a warm reception from residents, staff and visitors. Although the wind continued, the weather improved and everyone enjoyed celebrating this remarkable achievement together.
We were also pleased to host a range of local community organizations and stallholders, offering valuable information and opportunities for people to connect with services and support available in the local area.
The celebrations continued with refreshments, nibbles, and a glass of prosecco as we marked the successful completion of the relay and reflected on a truly memorable day.🥂🍓
A huge thank you to Championing Social Care, all the cyclists, our special guests, stallholders,
residents, staff and everyone behind the scenes who made this event a success. We are honoured to have played a part in this inspiring initiative and to support the recognition of social care across our communities.🏆

A lovely visit to Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park with our friends from Four Oaks Care Home. We enjoyed coffee and lunch while watching aircraft take off and land, chatting about the many destinations they were heading to.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to speak with staff and meet some friendly people along the way.

The day was particularly special for Veronica, who spent many years working as a cabin crew member. Visiting the airport brought back many happy memories from her time in the aviation industry. It was also a reminder of how she met her husband, Robert (who worked as a pilot), during their years with British Airways when travelling was a regular part of life.

A great day out with good company and plenty to see. ✈️☕️🍽️

🚴💜 The Great British Care Cycle Relay Race is Coming to Timperley Nursing Home! 💜🚴

We are delighted to be welcoming The Great British Care Cycle Relay Race as part of their incredible 96km journey around Manchester and the surrounding areas on Friday, 12th June.

The cyclists will be making a special stop at Timperley Nursing Home, and we're excited to combine this with a Community Event from 3.00pm to 5.00pm, giving residents, families, and members of the local community the opportunity to come together for a fantastic afternoon.

Join us to meet local professionals and organisations, learn about the support and services available in the community, and ask any questions you may have.

Our residents enjoyed a creative and engaging Ocean Day activity. Using shells collected from Wales, they created beautiful arts and crafts while sharing memories and chatting about their favourite holiday destinations.
The fun continued with sensory activities using our Obi projector and kinetic sand, providing a relaxing and interactive experience for everyone.🐚

🇸🇪 Armchair Travel to Sweden 🇸🇪

Yesterday we celebrated Sweden’s National Day with a wonderful armchair travel experience.
We started the day with a baking session, making delicious kanelbullar (Swedish cinnamon buns). Everyone enjoyed sampling the finished pastries, which received great reviews all round!
We then travelled to Sweden from the comfort of our lounge, learning about the country’s culture, traditions and famous landmarks. Residents also took part in a fun quiz, sharing what they knew about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries.
Our Swedish adventure continued with some of the nation’s most famous music, including ABBA. Watching their Eurovision-winning performance of Waterloo from 1974 brought back many happy memories and sparked lots of conversation.
A fantastic day of baking, learning, reminiscing and exploring another country without leaving our chairs!✈️

As part of Carers Week, we enjoyed a lovely celebration with our residents.🎉🙌

Our lovely resident Veronica kindly presented a small gift, and everyone came together to enjoy a delicious buffet and wonderful company.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our carers and staff for their hard work, kindness, and dedication. Your support means so much to us and our residents, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

Celebrating with a wonderful journey through history and art at Salford Museum and Art Gallery✨
We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful museum, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. From the fascinating art collections to the amazing Victorian Street, every part had its own story to tell.
The recreated Victorian street was definitely a highlight for us — with its old shop fronts, cobbled streets, and historic details, it truly felt like stepping back in time. Gill especially enjoyed exploring every corner and learning about the history behind each display. 💜
She said, “I loved walking through the Victorian Street — it felt like stepping back in time and seeing how people used to live.” ✨
What a great day for us all!
