Richard is at Alva Academy today for their employment enjoyment day. The students have the opportunity to try on simulation specs that demonstrate how different eye conditions affect sight.

Richard is at the Scottish Parliament today and tomorrow helping Optometry Scotland promote the need for a community low vision service. Currently patients with low vision are on long waiting lists for hospital appointments to get magnifiers and aids that could dramatically improve their quality of life. If opticians could provide this service in the community it would dramatically reduce their wait time and free up the hospital to see other patients.
