This initiative is about encouraging connection in the community. While Samaritans are there for people in their most difficult moments, the principle of listening is something we can all carry into everyday life. is a simple, visible expression of that idea - creating a space where people can pause, connect, and perhaps begin a conversation.🙏

We’re proud to share that Ashridge Home Care has joined The Chatty Cafe Scheme UK!💙

As part of the scheme, we’ll be hosting a monthly Chatter & Natter Table at our Old Amersham office — a relaxed and welcoming place for local people to meet, enjoy a cuppa and have a friendly chat.

Our first get-together is:
📅 Thursday 25 September
🕝 2.30pm–4.00pm
We’ll then meet on the fourth Thursday of every month.

The table is particularly aimed at older members of our community, family carers and anyone who might benefit from a little companionship — but friends, neighbours and relatives are very welcome too.🤗

There’ll be tea, coffee, cake and biscuits, friendly faces and plenty of time for a good natter. ☕🍰
No pressure. No agenda. Just pull up a chair and have a chat.
We’d love to see you there. 💙

Whether you already know us, have questions about care for yourself or a loved one, or simply fancy a friendly chat while enjoying the day, make sure you pop by and visit our stand.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic Kop Hill — and hopefully seeing plenty of familiar faces along the way!

See you this weekend! 💙

✨Coming Soon: The Kop Hill Climb Bursary to Empower Local Young People ✨

We’re excited to announce a brand-new bursary programme, which will be launched in January 2026. The goal is simple and powerful: to open doors for the next generation to ensure that local young people have every opportunity to thrive. 🎓🚀

Co-funded by the Kop Hill Climb Charity and Heart of Bucks through its Young Futures Fund, the bursary will offer financial support to young people and students from the local area — with a particular focus on those pursuing careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.

Details on eligibility, application processes, and funding levels will be announced soon.

The bursary will be hosted on the Young Futures Fund platform.

The bursary is a celebration of the partnership between Kop Hill Climb and Heart of Bucks 25th Anniversary of local giving. 💜

Yes, people living with dementia can live safe, happy and fulfilling lives at home with the right support and environment.
A dementia diagnosis doesn’t automatically mean giving up the home, routines and community someone knows and loves.💙

You don’t have to navigate dementia alone.

Dementia can change life for an entire family.

For the person living with dementia, it can bring uncertainty, frustration and a loss of confidence. For those who love them, it can mean constant worry, more responsibilities and the feeling that they always need to be one step ahead.

A daughter becomes the organiser.
A son becomes the one checking in.
A husband or wife slowly becomes a carer as well as a partner.

And somewhere along the way, family relationships can begin to feel different.

That’s why the right dementia care isn’t only about supporting the person with dementia. It’s about supporting the whole family.

With personalised care at home, someone living with dementia can remain surrounded by familiar routines, belongings and memories, with support that respects who they are.

And for their loved ones, the right support can ease some of the responsibility and worry — giving them more space to simply be a daughter, son, husband, wife or grandchild again. 💙

☕ Memory Café – Friday 4 September!😊👇

Living with dementia can sometimes feel isolating — both for the person themselves and for the family members and carers supporting them. That’s why opportunities to come together, talk and feel understood can be so valuable.

Join us at the Chilterns Neuro Centre for our Memory Café, a friendly and welcoming space for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

Come along for a cuppa, meet others who understand some of the challenges you may be experiencing, and find friendship, conversation and support in a relaxed environment.

This lovely review is a reminder that great live-in care is about much more than simply having someone there.

When a family is going through a difficult time, having the right people around them can bring reassurance, continuity and much-needed peace of mind.

We were particularly touched by the family’s kind words about our live-in carer — her good humour, the bond she has built with their mum, and the way she has advocated for her with other healthcare professionals.

The review also highlights something really important to us: "good care is a team effort." From the first conversation with our Care Manager, to regular check-ins from our Care Coordinator and the additional support of our hourly care professionals, everyone plays a part in making sure the family feels reassured and supported.

Thank you to all our clients and their loved ones who place their trust in us every day. It’s a privilege to support your families, and we’re incredibly grateful to be part of your care journey. 💙

Looking for award-winning live-in care for yourself or someone you love? Our friendly team is here to listen, answer your questions and help you understand the support available.
