Have you ever held back something important because you are more worried about how they receive it then about what you actually needed to say?

I have. More times than I’d like to admit.

And I am someone who literally teaches this for a living.

That’s the thing about the gap-it doesn’t care about how much you know. It shows up anyway. In your friendships, your relationships, your workplace. Anywhere that actually matters to you.

(And what actually does)
You can’t just decide to feel confident
That’s like saying ‘just be happy’ or ‘just stop being anxious’
The real issue?
It’s not lack of confidence
It’s unprocessed fear, imposter syndrome, and a nervous system that sees speaking up as danger
Communication training teaches WHAT to say
But misses WHY you freeze in the first place

Conversations we avoid (and the psychology behind it)
Whether you’re in college or at work, we all have them.
The conversation with your professor/boss about that thing you’ve been putting off.
The one in your group project/team meeting where you stay silent even though you have ideas.
The one with your parents/yourself about whether this path is actually right for you.
And we avoid them for the same reason: Fear.
Fear of judgment. Fear of rejection. Fear of being ‘too much’ or ‘not enough.’
But here’s what I’ve learned after 7+ years of working with students and young professionals:
Avoiding the conversation doesn’t make it go away.
It just makes it louder. In your head. On repeat.
The conversations you’re avoiding? They’re the ones that could change everything.
P.S. If you struggle with speaking up, having difficult conversations, or finding your voice - whether in placements, at work, or in life - you’re not broken. You’re just managing fear. And that’s something we can work with.

I cannot deal with this side of social media and unfollowing such people doesn’t hide the bogus movement that they are starting amongst teenagers who still has to figure out what works and what doesn’t for them.
The liberty of free speech on social media is clearly misused to great lengths, but there is so much more the issues that we need to dive in. I urge viewers specially teenage girls to be more mindful, because it clearly looks like how AI convinced you to t@ke your 0wn l!fe.

Therapy analogies I use to help clients make sense of their feelings 💭

Sometimes emotions feel too big or confusing to put into words. That’s where analogies come in. They help my clients:
• Understand what they’re experiencing
• Realize their feelings are valid and normal
• Create a shared language we can work with
• See their struggles from a new perspective

When feelings finally make sense, healing becomes possible.
