Nature makes a perfect, biodegradable, heavy-duty protective husk. But at somewhere in the process it gets striped and wrapped in plastic?!? Still trying to figure out who approved this meeting. Can we stop it please. Nature already did the work!

I have been enjoying this Lucy Bee Gut Balance so much I wanted to tell you about it.

Firstly it’s the formulation I like. I’m a big believer in looking beyond simply adding probiotics when we’re working with the gut microbiome. I love that it has fibre-rich wholefood ingredients included alongside live cultures and digestive support.

And, secondly, if you know me, you’ll know the Soil Association organic logo gets an immediate tick from me!! I’m a huge advocate for choosing organic where we can.

Gifted – I actually requested this product from Lucy Bee as I wanted to try it, and they kindly sent it to me free of charge. There was no obligation to share or post about it. I only share products that I genuinely enjoy and would be happy to use myself.

Do you think this is extra?

I was told to make breakfast for 25 people including the world strongest man Eddie Hall (apparently he eats a lot!).

Is this a nutritionally perfect breakfast? Absolutely not. And it’s not something I would advocate on a daily either. But this was different, this was a celebration and definitely brought everyone around the table to enjoy and eat together. It was the centrepiece of the morning!

Why can’t spending more time in nature just be our standard everyday baseline? We treat outdoor time like a rare weekend luxury or a holiday treat, but our bodies and minds actually need it to function. Spending just two hours a week in green spaces lowers stress, boosts mood, and helps us reset. It is time to shift our mindset: getting outside shouldn’t be a special escape from regular life, it should be the foundation of it. Let’s make the outdoors our new daily normal 🙌🏻

⭐ Almond Croissant Muffins ⭐

If there was ever a perfect muffin it’s this. Almonds and almond flour are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids. These are the same fats found in olive oil that help support heart health and lower cholesterol. Almonds are also one of the world’s best sources of Vitamin E. A single muffin provides a good dose of this antioxidant, which protects your cells from oxidative stress and directly supports skin health.

Comment “almond” and I’ll send you the recipe 👇🏼

Healing eczema starts from the inside out. It’s such a multi-trigger condition and there is no single “cure” diet, but making mindful lifestyle shifts can help calm irritated skin.

With this young man, we worked on increasing nutrients, prioritising sleep condition, staying consistent, managing stress and external factors. Mum has been the absolute best support for him. We are not finished yet though, but just look at how far he has come.

If you are struggling a great place to start is tracking your personal triggers in a journal. You may be able to see a pattern 🤍

Kitchen swaps I love for reducing everyday chemical exposure. These don’t need to be changed overnight, but if you’re slowly making swaps, these are the ones I’d prioritise.

Wooden utensils – won’t scratch cookware and are free from plastic.

Glass storage containers – avoid heating food in plastic and don’t absorb stains or odours. When plastic is heated it leaches into your food, and you end up ingesting it. Avoid if you don’t want to mess up your hormones.

Stainless steel cookware – durable and doesn’t contain the coatings found on some non-stick pans. These famous well known coatings have been found in cancer tumours.

Plant-based dishwashing products – a simple swap if you’re looking to reduce unnecessary synthetic ingredients.

Wooden or stainless steel chopping boards – long-lasting and easy to maintain. No exposure to tiny microplastics when chopping your food.

Remember, you don’t have to replace everything at once. Small changes over time can still make a difference.

Have you made any swaps?

Summer fruits chia pudding anyone?

I love a good chia pudding, especially in the summer. They are just perfect for those light mornings. Chia seeds are nutritional powerhouses packed with fiber, plant-based protein, and omega-3 fatty acids. I blended a bag of summer fruits frozen berries, mixed with chia seeds and some maple syrup and left overnight. In the morning topped with seeds and fruit.

Do you have a favourite chia pudding flavour? I’ll make it next time 🙌🏻

Just because a food is labeled “healthy” doesn’t mean your gut loves it. These surprisingly healthy foods might actually be causing your bloating and discomfort!

Sugar-Free” Snacks: Products with artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols (like sorbitol and maltitol) don’t digest fully. They ferment in your colon, causing severe gas and bloating.

Protein / Health Bars: Many protein and granola bars are highly processed. They contain thickeners, additives, and seed oils that can irritate your gut lining. I know they are an easy grab and go, but honestly they are not worth it.

Raw Vegetables: Raw broccoli, kale, and cauliflower have incredibly tough cell walls. They are hard to break down, anyone who has some issues with digestions are better off cooking these vegetables slightly to softens the fiber for easier digestion.

Dairy: Even a mild, undiagnosed lactose intolerance can cause inflammation and constipation. Many commercial yogurts are also packed with gut-stripping emulsifiers.

Gluten-Free Alternatives: swapping to gluten processed breads and baked goods often hurts your gut. They replace gluten with refined starches and gums, offering zero fiber for your good bacteria.

When my kids are going through a difficult food phase I pluck some creative thinking out of brain and present something fun instead. Not a plate of food but a work of art! This is an excellent way of tackling fussy eating, it encourages them to interact with the food, without pressure, introduce different textures etc. Give it a try with your little ones. Some great easy ideas on Pinterest 🤍
