This year we moved the BAS Annual Conference to a two day format and as Dr Vito Damay explains here it allowed us to bring so much more value to our audience.

So we’re keeping the same format for BAS27 - with a day of medical veins, aesthetic veins and then all the best speakers and resources for elevating your practice.

How does your aesthetic practice handle complaints?

This week Emma Davies shared her expertise on the key things to remember when dealing with a complaint.

Because they do happen, but the way they are dealt with can make all the difference.

This was also the topic of Emma's talk at this year's BAS Conference - and if it's something you'd like more guidance on her presentation is available on the BAS website.

Loved hearing from Tara Outram this week, who shared her experiences with Short Wave Diathermy (SWD).

Tara detailed the amazing results she's had with SWD - so much so they've been called 'magic' - but also how this was a simple addition to her practice.

The BAS June Journal Club is now available!

This month's expert review comes from BAS Board Member Haroun Gajraj who has critically analysed two papers, with differing views, when it comes to combining Microsclerotherapy with transdermal radiofrequency (RF) thermocoagulation (also known as Shortwave Diathermy).

In his review Haroun has written a full journal club review breaking down the biophysics, the protocol differences, and what this actually means for your day-to-day clinical practice.

You can read the full piece on the BAS website "June Journal Club", or if you are already a BAS Member you can access the review in your membership portal.

Do you use RF/SWD sequentially in your clinic? What is your stance on post-op compression for these tiny vessels?
