Happy Thursday Everyone 😍

Today was stock day which means new, amazing Podiatry supplies which always makes us happy , and to add to the excitement- HUGE boxes- which as you can see keeps the smallest member of the feet4U family happy!!

🦶 Cracked heels 😱

This is an extremely common problem especially during sandal season! The skin drys out on the heels and large cracks or as we call them fissures can occur ! These can be very unsightly, painful and hard to treat.

Open backed shoes or slippers do not help. They expose the skin to the elements and can cause the fat pad of the heel to expand with every step.

💡 Helpful tips

⭐ Hydrate !! Those feet need moisturiser, something high in urea and ideally it needs to be applied several times a day!! At feet4U we love flexitol heal balm!!

⭐ A magic tip - Snowfire ointment stick

⭐ Drink lots of water

⭐ Gently pumice the area before applying moisturiser - however in some cases the skin is so dry sharp debridement is required and that's when your Podiatrist can really help!!

⭐ Supportive footwear and socks ! We love cotton or bamboo 😍
