Day 8 πŸ‰
The physical changes are great, but the emotional and spiritual shifts are what's surprising me most.
More energy. Better sleep. Clearer skin. Less pain. A stubborn rash that's been with me since burnout last year is finally healing.
But more than anything, I feel calm, grounded and deeply connected to the world around me.
I've also decided to continue for a full 21 days.

Day 8 of juice fast..
2am. Still working. Still focused.

Welcome to my medicine cabinet.

In this house, you'll find herbs, teas, natural supplements and food as medicine rather than a cupboard full of allopathic medicines.
Nobody gets sick in our house. Infact, there hasn't been an illness since our cancer journey!!! Thats almost 8years!!!!!

There's no Calpol, no Pepto-Bismol, and no long list of side effects disguised as a solution.

Instead, we focus on supporting the body's natural ability to heal with plants, nutrition, hydration, rest, movement and herbal remedies that have been used for generations.

Most things are taken as a herbal tea, or supplement, depending on what support is needed.

But the biggest medicine is happiness and food πŸ’š

Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like... but have you ever wondered why so much of our fruit is now bred to be seedless? πŸ€”πŸ‰
The very part of the fruit designed to create new life is the part we've been taught to throw away.

Watermelon seeds contain:

Let's talk p**p. πŸ’©πŸ˜‚

One of the biggest myths I hear is that food goes in, gets digested in 24 hours, and leaves the body. If only it were that simple!

Even when you're fasting, your body can continue passing waste for days. Why? Because not everything we eat is necessarily eliminated straight away. Over time, waste can accumulate in the digestive tract, and when the gut is finally given a rest, it gets the opportunity to start clearing house.

Many people notice they continue having bowel movements throughout a fast, despite not eating a thing. In my experience, the longer the fast, the more interesting things can get! 😳 Some people also report passing what is often referred to as "mucoid plaque" during extended fasting and cleansing protocols.

When waste builds up, it can interfere with digestion and nutrient absorption, meaning you may be eating plenty of food but not necessarily absorbing everything your body needs.

What many people don't realise is that a huge part of your immune system is connected to your gut. A healthy, diverse gut microbiome helps support immune function, digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall wellbeing. When the gut environment becomes imbalanced, it can create favourable conditions for certain yeasts, bacteria, fungi, and parasites to thrive, while also impacting how efficiently the body functions.

I'm currently fasting and, despite not eating, I'm still making regular visits to the porcelain office. 🚽 I've also started a parasite cleanse today to help move things along.

Let's just say, if what comes out smells like something that should have been buried centuries ago, your body may be doing a bit of overdue housekeeping. πŸ˜‚
