A Lasting Tribute

Today at St Wilfrid’s Priory, we remember Joy with the dedication of a beautiful memorial bench.

A special place to sit, reflect and remember, creating a lasting tribute to a much-loved person whose memory will remain part of our Priory community.

We hope the bench will bring comfort to family, friends, residents and visitors for many years to come.

Forever remembered, forever missed.

🌸 A Wonderful Afternoon at Amberley Tea Rooms! 🌸

We had a fantastic outing with our residents to Amberley Tea Rooms, where we were delighted to join our friends from The Hub church group.

We enjoyed a proper afternoon tea, complete with delicious sandwiches, freshly baked treats and, of course, plenty of cake! 🍰and let us tell you… the cakes were absolutely divine!

It was a truly special day filled with great company, wonderful conversations and plenty of smiles.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the afternoon so memorable!

What a lovely afternoon we've had!

We enjoyed a fun-filled games session (from the photos, can you guess who might have been bending the rules? 😉), shared plenty of Jelly Babies, and finished the day with a relaxing stroll through the garden.

We couldn't help but admire our magnificent horse chestnut tree too – just look at the size of it! 🌳

It's the simple moments of laughter, friendship, and fresh air that make days like these so special.

☀️ There's nothing quite like making the most of a beautiful summer's day! ☀️

Our residents enjoyed their first lunch of the summer in our lovely back garden. Surrounded by the relaxing sounds of birdsong and sunshine, it was the perfect setting to enjoy good food, great company, and the peaceful outdoors.

Moments like these remind us how special our garden is a tranquil space where everyone can relax, socialise, and enjoy nature.

What a fantastic day!

🏓 Ping pong... our version certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter!

🍽️ We enjoyed a scrummy lunch together before settling in to watch some first-class cricket.

🌿 We had a lovely early morning visit from Matt and Linda from HQ today!

Maurice was proud to showcase his fantastic tomato-growing skills, along with our flourishing herb garden, which is looking better than ever. 🍅🌱

Christina also took the opportunity to show off our beautiful hanging baskets, which are thriving thanks to her dedication and the daily care and watering she gives them.

We feel incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful terrace for everyone to enjoy, especially during these wonderful summer days. A big thank you to everyone who helps keep it looking so lovely!

We had a wonderfully relaxing day at St Wilfrid's Priory yesterday.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch, followed by a lovely afternoon tea with our friends from The Hub at Arundel Cathedral. There was plenty of laughter, great conversation, and time to simply enjoy each other's company.

Sometimes, the best days are the ones where you can slow down, relax, and have a good chat with friends.

🐾 A Very Special Visitor! 🐾

We were so lucky to welcome Pickle, a beautiful Golden Retriever, to St Wilfrid's Priory!

Pickle belongs to our wonderful volunteer Daphne's son, and he truly is the gentlest soul. His calm nature, wagging tail, and friendly cuddles brought so many smiles to everyone who was lucky enough to spend time with him.

Pet therapy visits like this can brighten the day, spark conversations, and bring comfort and joy to our residents. Thank you, Pickle, for making today so special, we can't wait to see you again! 🐶

🌸 Exciting news at St Wilfrid's Priory! 🌸

Thanks to another generous donation collected on Friday, we'll soon be creating a beautiful new seating area in our back garden. The space will include comfortable seating and lovely flower planters, providing a peaceful place for our residents to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us. Your kindness is helping us make St Wilfrid's Priory an even more welcoming and enjoyable place to call home.
