📢 We're hiring an Engagement Officer to join the One You Kent team, our free lifestyle and wellbeing service for adults across the county.

This role is all about relationships. You'll be out in East or West Kent, connecting with GP practices, local authorities, community groups and other partners, so more people hear about the support that's available to them.

Some weeks you'll be at a community event. Other weeks you might be sat with a GP practice discussing referral pathways, or working with our comms team on a local campaign. It's varied, and it moves at the pace of the community you're working in.

💰 Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 a year (pro rata)
🕙 Hours: 18.5 hours a week, including some evenings and weekends
📍 Location: Kent
⏳ Closing date: 31st August 2026

We're after someone who's naturally good with people, happy working independently, and genuinely cares about reducing health inequalities where they live.

📢 We're hiring a Healthy Lifestyle Adviser to join a new pilot in Emergency Departments across Kent.

People spend a lot of time waiting in A&E. This role uses that time by having open, friendly conversations with patients and their families about their health.

You'll talk to people about things like smoking, alcohol, weight, activity and general wellbeing. No lectures, no judgement. Just a conversation, and some practical next steps if someone wants them.

💰 Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 a year
🕙 Hours: 37.5 hours a week, including some evenings and weekends
📍 Location: Kent, including West Kent, with travel required
📅 Contract: Fixed term for 15 months, with a possible extension
⏳ Closing date: 1st September 2026

We're looking for someone who's worked in a similar community health or wellbeing setting before, and who's good at building trust quickly with people from all kinds of backgrounds.

Yesterday, our Smokefree Adviser Gonzalo Echeverri joined the Tonbridge Baptist Church Community Family Engagement event, working alongside Claire Potter, Health Improvement Team Leader at Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.

Between us, we offered carbon monoxide testing and support for anyone thinking about quitting smoking, plus blood pressure checks and advice on healthy lifestyle choices.

It's this kind of joined-up, community based support that makes it easier for people to take that first step towards a healthier life. Great to be out there working alongside the council and meeting local families.
