⛈️ LITTLE FARMERS – TODAY’S SESSION POSTPONED ⛈️

Unfortunately, due to the thunder and lightning this morning, I’ve made the decision to postpone today’s Little Farmers session.

With so much of what we do taking place outside and around the animals, safety has to come first. 🐴🐑🐐

I do have a session running tomorrow, Friday 28th August, from 11.30am–1pm, and anyone who was due to come today is very welcome to join us then instead.

I’ll also be running Little Farmers next Thursday as normal, so there’s another option if tomorrow doesn’t work for you.

Sorry for the change of plans 🌦️💙

🌿 LAST FEW SPACES for Little Farmers this Thursday! 🐴🐷🐔

We only have a few places remaining for Thursday 27th August, 10:30am–12:00pm.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, there’s still time to join us for a relaxed morning of meeting and caring for the animals, pony grooming, exploring the farm and woodland, and lots of outdoor fun for little ones and their grown-ups. 💙

Just a gentle reminder for anyone who has messaged to book and has been sent the booking information — places are only secured once payment has been received and confirmed.

Because our groups are deliberately kept small and spaces are very limited, bookings are on a first come, first served basis, and unfortunately I can’t hold spaces without payment. You won’t be added to the diary until your booking has been confirmed.

I’m also considering putting on another Little Farmers group on Friday, 11:30am–1:00pm if there’s enough interest.

So if Thursday doesn’t work for you but Friday might, please send me a message and let me know. If enough families are interested, I’ll add the extra session. 🌿🐴💙

🌿 Due to popular demand… we’ve added another Little Farmers morning! 🐴🐷🐔

Our summer Little Farmers sessions have been such a lovely hit, with lots of little ones enjoying getting hands-on with the animals, exploring the farm, building confidence and simply having the freedom to run around and enjoy being outdoors.

So I’ve decided to add one more date next week:

⏰ 10:30am–12:00pm
👶 Ages 1-5 with a parent/carer
💷 £20 for one adult & one child
➕ Additional child £12
➕ Additional adult £5

The morning includes meeting and caring for the animals, grooming the ponies, exploring the farm and woodland, and plenty of relaxed outdoor play.

Spaces are kept small and the sessions have been filling quickly, so if you’d like to join us, send me a message to book your place. 💙

☀️ We’ve been having SO much fun in the sunshine! 🌿🐴

Summer on the farm has been full of adventures!

🏕️ Camps have been built (and rebuilt!)
🐴 Ponies have had endless cuddles and grooming
🐷 Animals have been fed, cared for and thoroughly spoilt
🌳 Woodlands have been explored
🤝 New friendships have been made
😂 And there has been A LOT of laughter!

I’ve particularly loved watching our older groups arrive, sometimes not knowing anyone, and before long they’re off exploring together, making up games, working as a team and forming new friendships without even really thinking about it.

And then there are our Little Farmers… 😂💙

They’ve pretty much been given permission to run wild! Little legs exploring everywhere, excited squeals when the animals come over, nervous moments turning into brave ones, muddy hands, big smiles and lots of grown-ups trying to keep up!

It’s exactly what summer should feel like.

Animals. Nature. Freedom. Connection. Friendship. Fun. 🌿

And the best part? They’re building confidence, independence and social skills along the way without it ever feeling like they’re being taught.

🥹 Next week is our final week of summer sessions, and I genuinely can’t believe how quickly it’s gone!

Our Little Farmers mornings have been such a hit that I’m planning to continue them weekly from September, likely in small 4-week themed blocks for little ones and their grown-ups.

If you’d like to be added to the September Little Farmers waiting list, pop me a message with your little one’s name and age and I’ll make sure you’re amongst the first to hear when dates are released. 🐴🐷🐔💙

🌿 Our very first Little Farmers morning was filled with smiles, laughter and special moments. 🐷🐔🐴

It was such a pleasure to welcome our youngest farmers and their grown-ups to the farm for a morning of exploring together.

The children met all of our wonderful animals, enjoyed stroking the pigs and many were incredibly brave as they held one of our little chickens for the very first time. There were lots of excited squeals, a few nervous screams and plenty of laughter along the way! 💙

One of my favourite parts of the morning was watching parents and children experience it all together. Sharing those first moments of feeding, stroking and discovering the animals created some really lovely bonding opportunities.

While the little ones happily explored, made new discoveries and built their confidence, the mums also had the chance to sit down, chat with one another and enjoy a little time for themselves too. Sometimes those conversations and connections are just as important.

There was no rush, no pressure-just little legs running freely, curious minds exploring, and every corner of the farm becoming a new adventure.

Sometimes the simplest experiences-fresh air, muddy boots, gentle animals and quality time together-are the ones children remember the most.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was wonderful to meet you all, and we can’t wait to welcome more little farmers over the coming weeks! 🌿🐴🐥

✨ We still have a few spaces available on our upcoming Little Farmers mornings throughout the summer holidays. If you’d like to join us, just send me a message for more information.

🌿 Our first Summer Farm Adventure Day is complete… and what a wonderful day it was! 🐴💙

Yesterday was everything I hoped it would be.

The children spent time grooming their chosen ponies before using their imaginations to design their own obstacle courses. They then worked together, learning how to communicate clearly and confidently as they led their pony around the course they’d created.

There was plenty of laughter as we headed off to explore the woodland, where the children invented their own games, discovered nature and simply enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors.

The stars of the afternoon, however, had to be our two newest arrivals… 🐥🐥 Our small chickens were an instant hit and received lots of gentle cuddles and admiration!

What I love most about these days is that they’re not just about keeping children entertained during the holidays. They’re about building confidence, encouraging teamwork, creating friendships, solving problems, connecting with animals and making memories that last long after summer is over.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday. I can’t wait to do it all again! 🌿🐴

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🤍 Looks like Crown is ready for the England semi-final tonight! ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

One of our amazing students decided that Crown needed to show his support, so today he became our very own four-legged England fan! ⚽🐴

What I love most isn’t just the finished artwork-it’s everything that happened along the way. Planning the design, working together, building confidence, making decisions, and watching creativity come to life in a calm, safe environment.

These are the moments where learning doesn’t feel like learning… it feels like fun.

Now it’s over to the Three Lions… Crown has done his bit! 🦁🦁🦁

Who’s watching tonight? ⚽
Come on England! 🤍❤️

Who knows… this summer could be the start of a lifelong love of animals. 💙🐎

🌿 “Well… that’s a bit of an upgrade from last week!” 🐎

Those were the first words one of my students said this week when she saw Crown waiting for her.

Just a week ago she’d been working with one of our smaller ponies. Before starting these sessions, she’d never been near a horse and found anything new or physically big incredibly anxiety-provoking.

Standing in front of Crown, she admitted,
“He’s huge… I’m quite scared.”

Instead of rushing in, we stopped.

She recognised she needed to calm her body first.

Together we slowed our breathing, talked about how our nervous system responds to fear and practised matching our breathing to Crown’s slower, calmer rhythm. We shook out the tension in our hands, feet and bodies and talked about finding a “safe place” in our minds—those people, places and memories that help us feel calm.

When she was ready, she designed an obstacle course for Crown using poles, ropes and cones. It was her challenge, her decisions and her journey.

At first, her body mirrored her anxiety. Her arm was rigid, she stood at a distance and every movement was cautious.

As her breathing slowed and her confidence grew, something beautiful happened.

Crown softened too.

His head lowered until it rested around her waist height, and together they moved calmly through the course, matching one another’s pace.

When they reached the jump, Crown knocked the pole.

She looked disappointed.

Rather than seeing it as failure, we explored what might help. She reflected on how changing her own energy had helped Crown slow down. This time, she wondered whether increasing her energy slightly might help him lift over the jump.

She tried again.

This time, Crown cleared it beautifully.

The smile on her face said everything.

At the end of the session she stood quietly in front of Crown, gently holding her heart and talking to him.

Then she looked over and asked me,

“Can horses cry?”

She told Crown that he didn’t need to worry anymore and that she would always be there for him.

For a few moments, neither of them moved.

Someone stepped in to try and encourage Crown forwards, but I asked them to wait.

Sometimes the most important part of therapy is allowing the moment to unfold without rushing to fix it.

A little later, they both walked on together.

When I asked her whether she thought she could use today’s breathing and visualisation techniques in other situations, she smiled and said,

“I don’t even need to go to my happy place anymore… I just need to think about this moment with Crown.”

That stopped me in my tracks.

Because sometimes confidence isn’t built by being told you’re brave.

It’s built by discovering it for yourself.💙🐎

02/07/2026

We don’t promise perfect weather, spotless clothes or children who come home without muddy wellies…

We do hope they’ll come home with stories to tell, new friendships, a little more confidence and a smile that lasts long after the day has finished.

There are still a few spaces available on our Summer Farm Adventure Days if you’d like your child to join us. 💙
