❤️ SAVE A LIFE SEPTEMBER ❤️

Would you know what to do if someone suddenly collapsed in front of you?

This September, St John Ambulance is encouraging everyone to learn a few simple skills that really could make the difference between life and death.

You don’t need to be a healthcare professional to help save a life. In an emergency, knowing what to do and having the confidence to do it can make all the difference while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

We’re sharing some useful CPR information from below 👇

☀️Heat Warning for Kent This Week ☀️

Temperatures are set to rise significantly across Kent this week, so please take extra care in the heat.

💧 Make sure you, your friends, family, neighbours, and pets stay well hydrated.

☀️ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight where possible.

🏠 Keep cool by staying in shaded or air-conditioned areas.

Please also keep an eye out for the signs and symptoms of heat stroke, shown below. Early recognition can help prevent more serious heat-related illnesses.

Stay safe and look after one another during the hot weather.

Members of South Kent Network have had an exceptionally busy week, supporting a variety of events across the area.

Our teams provided First Aid cover for a UK Athletics event in Victoria Park, Ashford, supported The Wealden Festival in Woodchurch, supplied an ambulance crew for the Clifftop Challenge, and delivered First Aid cover at the Stour Music Festival.

A huge thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who continue to give their time and expertise to help keep these events safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.
