Honeysett Counselling

Honeysett Counselling This page is about Honeysett Counselling, offering counselling and training services. Working out of a venue in the Ashford, Kent town centre.

In today's modern life we are all facing more Stress, Anxiety, Depression, and a number of emotional and relational issues. I became a counsellor because of my own positive experience of counselling. I found that by talking through my thoughts, feelings and behaviours made a difference to my life and overall wellbeing. My ultimate aim is to help and support you with what ever has brought you throu

gh my door. I love to see people break free from difficulties and problems and reach their full potential. What ever you are facing today I believe there is hope for tomorrow. I aim to make the process of starting counselling as simple as possible. After our first point of contact we would arrange an assessment. This is to meet each other in person and talk through your needs and goals for counselling. It is also for us both to decide if we would like to work together. After this assessment there is no obligation to continue with counselling. Obviously if you decide to go ahead we would book a regular time to meet on a weekly basis. After 6 weeks we would review to discuss our progress and how to proceed together. I operate out of clinics in Ashford Kent and Faversham. Venues have disabled access and free parking. I also do home visits (where appropriate.) Please contact me for more details regarding home visits..

Therapy and money ep 3! ⭐️⭐️⭐️The NHS started its own PGCE program so that The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) dictates which treatments the NHS is legally allowed to fund.NICE guidelines strongly favor Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) because it produces highly measurable, data-driven recovery rates.—————-Many traditional counselling and humanistic psychotherapy modalities do not fit into this data-tracking framework as easily. ———-💥💥💥Professional bodies like the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) have frequently highlighted that thousands of traditional therapists are underused by the NHS because the system favors the standardized PWP-to-CBT pathway

Did you know… finding a well paid counselling job in the uk is almost impossible? For most counsellors private work is the only way to make a proper living! When we train we have to do 100hours for free which fair enough we are training but it is now an expectation to continue working for free or very little even after qualifying.>>>>>>>>>>>>>> there is nothing wrong with volunteering BUT for those of us who trained to earn a living deserve to be honoured. >>>>>>>>>>nhs or government funded programs take advantage of people and given the mental health services there should be more money paid to counsellors! >>>>>>>>>>>>my argument is you wouldn’t go to a dentist and see a qualified person and expect them to work for free?! Why counsellors?

Some days start badly. After house appliance breaking, mirror smashing, spilling my freshly made smoothy, dog being sick in the car and shutting my finger in a shop door- I have two choices with my thinking. ———————————1 I decide that the day is bad and focus on all that’s happened 2. I can accept days come like this and choose to think on good stuff! ———this time I’m picking 2!

New blog! People often wonder why therapy feel so expensive… have a read and understand what you are actually paying for!

Therapy can feel like a significant financial commitment, and many people wonder why session fees are often higher than expected. The cost of therapy reflects much more than just the time spent in a session. It includes years of training, ongoing professional development, supervision, and various ov...

I’ve never been much of a hobby person (unless collecting candles from TKMAXX counts?!) 😬 but in the last year and a half I have reconnected with horses and now go riding regularly. It’s brought me a joy I’d forgotten about (I rode as a child) and it is amazing how finding the thing you love and doing can fill up your bucket- leaving you feeling happier and healthier! Do yourself a favour and carve out space for what you love to do and if you’re not sure have a go!

Better help is advertised everywhere… however are you paying private therapy prices for poor service and unethical giants who just want your money but don’t actually care?

Unfortunately I have heard nothing but horror stories about this platform and often clients come to me after their experiences- therapists being consistently late, or not turning up at all, therapists conducting sessions in the car whist their husband is driving, walking around making cups of tea and many more. Even channel 4 have done a programme on this company and it’s unsafe approach to peoples mental health!
