A passion with purpose.

As a children’s bereavement counsellor, Julie was inspired to sign up for the London Marathon 2027 to make her passion for running more meaningful.

“I hope to use my ‘Memory Angel’ fundraising campaign to raise awareness of children’s grief and celebrate the resilience of young people,” Julie explains.

We’re grateful to Julie and everyone who has signed up for the London Marathon 2027 in support of Pennine Care Charity and the work we do.

Preparations for the London Marathon 2027 have started!

Harriet has already begun training for the London Marathon 2027 by taking part in trial runs to build her fitness and prepare for the challenge ahead.

Having dedicated her career to supporting others, Harriet is taking on the marathon for Pennine Care Charity as her way of giving back to the people she works with.

“I'm proud to help raise funds that will make a real difference to people's lives,” she shared.

Good luck to Harriet and every supporter preparing for the London Marathon.

Better workforce wellbeing means our Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust colleagues are equipped to provide the best care for patients and families.

We recently funded a wellbeing project for those working at Cambeck Close, a short breaks service for people with a learning disability and additional healthcare needs.

The new dedicated wellbeing space gives colleagues a quiet place to relax and recharge amidst challenging situations.

It’s already proved to be a valuable and supportive space, helping the team provide compassionate and high-quality care for people staying at Cambeck.

This project is one of many which is helping services to be the best for people living across our areas.

The allotment offers opportunities to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables while helping people stay active, socialise, build confidence and develop new skills through meaningful activity.

The sense of achievement and ownership is also great for wellbeing too.

Charity funding helps to run community projects, which make a real difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people living across Greater Manchester.

Patients on Rosewood ward in Stockport are enjoying the benefits of new therapy dolls thanks to your generous donations to Pennine Care Charity.

The dolls are designed to support people living with dementia and cognitive impairments.

They have positive impact by helping to reduce anxiety, provide comfort, and encourage meaningful engagement. They can also offer a sense of purpose and familiarity, while helping patients to connect.

Families have enjoyed seeing the smiles it has brought to their loved ones’ faces.”

This is a great example of how your support can make a real difference, helping to create a more personalised, compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients.
