Wonderful Bank Holiday at Bracebridge Court 🌸
Runwood Ramblers have been out and about enjoying the fresh air, followed by a lovely trip to the café for a delicious latte. ☕️
After dinner, there was plenty of fun with a chocolate crispie cake cooking session, carpet boules and a few games of dominoes — enjoyed with a refreshing pint! 🍺🎲
We then settled down to enjoy a musical movie with popcorn. 🎶🍿

A fantastic Bank Holiday filled with laughter, fun, tasty treats and great company! ❤️

A Wonderful Evening Out at Maya Indian Restaurant 🌟
What a wonderful evening out for our residents and staff from Bracebridge Court at Maya Indian Restaurant. 🍽️❤️
Mary told us she had never been to an Indian restaurant before and would love to try one, so we were delighted to make her wish come true! She really enjoyed her meal, along with all the other residents and staff who joined us for a lovely evening out.

A huge thank you to Maya Indian Restaurant for being so welcoming and accommodating to our residents. Your kindness helped make the evening extra special.
The residents certainly enjoyed themselves, and the only thing they want to know now is… “When’s the next one?” 😄❤️

A lovely evening filled with good food, laughter and great company — something we will definitely be looking forward to doing again. 🌟

Tuesday we enjoyed a fantastic minibus trip to Ashend Farm. The weather was beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time meeting the animals, giving them lots of fuss and feeding them.
We all had to laugh when John had a particularly memorable encounter when he fed Juniper the cow — she was so enthusiastic that she nearly ate his bucket too! 😂🐮

What a lovely National Dog Day we had at Bracebridge Court! 🐶❤️
Our residents absolutely loved spending time with Juno and Bella, enjoying cuddles, strokes and lots of smiles.
Pet therapy can be especially beneficial for people living with dementia, helping to bring comfort, reduce loneliness and encourage conversation and reminiscence. Sometimes, the simple presence of a friendly dog can brighten someone's whole day. 🥰

Thank you, Juno and Bella, for bringing so much joy to our residents! 🐾❤️

✨🌟 A BELATED BUT VERY DESERVING JULY'S EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AWARD GOES TO LUCY 🌟✨

🎉 A huge congratulations to our amazing Lucy! 🎉she is someone who always goes above and beyond her role as a Care Assistant. 💕 She gives so much of her own time, energy and creativity to make a difference to our residents and create those extra-special moments that mean so much. 🥰✨
But it doesn’t stop there! 🌟 Lucy is also brilliant at lifting everyone around her, encouraging staff and residents to get involved, try new things, have fun and make memories together. 🎶💃🎨❤️
Her enthusiasm is infectious, her heart is huge, and the positive impact she has on our home is clear for everyone to see. 💖

So, although this recognition may have arrived a little later than planned… we think Lucy was absolutely worth the wait! 🏆✨

💙 Senior Citizens Day 💛
Thursday was Senior Citizens Day, and we decided to mark the occasion with something a little more personal — personalised certificates of recognition for our residents, celebrating the qualities and characteristics that make each of them so special.
Each certificate had a unique title and description that was recognisable to the individual. A few examples ...Bob – “The Friend to All” 🏆 — because he has a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome, valued and included. Peter – “The Fresh Air Fanatic” ☀️ — because he will do just about anything for the chance to be out in the courtyard enjoying the sunshine! ☀️
And there were many more, each one carefully chosen to reflect the personality, interests and little things that make our residents who they are.
What made the day particularly special was seeing just how much the recognition meant. Some residents became emotional — but in the loveliest way. It was a beautiful reminder that being seen, appreciated and celebrated for who you are can mean so much.
A simple certificate, maybe, but behind each one was a heartfelt message: you are valued, you are appreciated, and just how important everyone is .. 💕
