With the sun shining and a perfect temperature in the sea breeze,we have enjoyed a trip to the coast today. Our residents enjoyed the sun responsibly with a good covering of spf 50 cream and soaked up the atmosphere and relaxing sounds of the sea on a promenade walk before one of their favourite requests traditional fish & chips.We will all sleep well tonight.

We've really been in the sporting spirit this week with the men's football world Cup and the start of Wimbledon. We enjoyed the traditional of Strawberries and cream accompanied with Pimms and lemonade all from the comfort of our own chairs.

We had a lovely afternoon with Gerry & Hans supplying us with some familiar songs and light humour. It was a special occasion as Alan and his wife Ann celebrated 63 years of marriage. Congratulations to you both. Also thank you to Gerry and Hans who said any requests are welcome on the back of a £20 note. 🤣

What a lovely afternoon celebrating Daphne's birthday with family and friends.Thank you to the kitchen staff for organising the lovely food and Diana for decorating the room . 💗🥳🦋💐

What a care home week open day we had. Combined with Nature Week we themed our day on the great outdoors and focused on setting up 2 hog houses to encourage breeding and build up the declining hedgehog community.
The catering team had been working hard by creating an afternoon tea treat which included a hedgehog cake, fruity frog,baby cheese ladybirds,extra cute egg mice and macaroon bees.
Outside, we located the hog houses in quiet positions after lots of research. There was also fun colouring, a hedgehog quiz,craft stalls and a visit from our branch of the RBL.
The afternoon was topped off by a fantastic performance by the lovely Jack Darcy.
Meanwhile, some of our team were busy taking dementia training which they said was awesome and a valuable session.

Happy National Cheese Day. We have had a sampling session trying some old favourites such as Stilton and Chedder as well as some not so familiar like Wendlesdale with Cranberry.
Did you know The Egyptians made cheese and buried it with Pharaohs to take to the afterlife?

Elvis was back in the building yesterday and he must have felt like he was performing in Las Vegas in the heatwave. Not a problem for us though. With our Hydration Station,fans and a delicious selection of ice creams and ice lollies.

Elvis kept his cool and entertained us with a rock n roll line up followed by a quick change into his jumpsuit and a set of famous songs by the King!
