My Rest is coming ♥️ from 22nd Aug - 11th September my lovelies.

The diary is open and appointments are filling up fast. Up to 3 weeks before I am away and thereafter the next lot of appointments will be 7 weeks time 😆.

Then I head back to University for my last year of psychology 🪩.

My diary then will be limited again. So if you are after an appointment here is your chance 😎.

Whether it’s massage, reiki or sound therapy. Imagine how your body and mind feels when you are in balance. Receiving therapies feels that much more extra special. Don’t just come when you feel broken 😄 trust me as a practitioner I know this myself.

If you’re coming to wellness in the wild festival come and chat with me! I will be there Friday-Sunday.

Friday 2pm at the meditation tent to open the festival with a sound bath. Don’t miss it!!!

Saturday and Sunday I will be in the family tent for children sound session. I did this last year and loved it!

1:1 BAST Sound Therapy method

When I first delved into sound therapy, I researched for months before I found one that ticked ☑️ my boxes. I wanted to know the “why”, the “science” behind stuff. Even though my background as a culture has its own sets of beliefs, I was always looking for another way.

The practitioner-level diploma in sound therapy gave me some of that insight.

The first picture shows the instruments available to use. The second shows you what was actually used for the session. Based on the findings/construct, it was evident we needed some fire 🔥. Which meant the gongs needed to be used.

I explained what the fire 🔥 meant, why we would use it in the session. Where it would be built up to, a momentum.

In sound, there’s some expansion, softening, touching the edges, there may be fear, and there may be exhalation. Facilitating is such an insightful process for the practitioner.

Fire 🔥was evoked 🎇. These two gongs are my original gongs. They are expansive, the sun and the chau. I always feel they are male and female counterparts. One held the flames to allow the other to burn brighter.

We all need some form of fire in our life. Not however related to how scorchingly hot the UK is at the moment. We so need the water respite. Perhaps we can all do the rain ☔️ dance 🪩.

Would you like to know more about the 1:1 sound therapy session? Contact me and we discuss it further.

The Hub has been opened for two months 😊.

Creating a space for people to physically and mindfully stop.

Musical instruments have been a major part of my childhood. The Indonesian roots, full of colour, different instruments, nature sounds. I tried the classical type of instruments like piano and guitar. I wanted to be able to play them. I had lessons, but my brain couldn’t figure out how to connect to my fingers 😬😅. I do, however, have the ability to listen by ear. Whilst I can’t play properly, I was able to isolate melodies, sounds, voice, and enjoy music and instruments.

So when I attended my first sound bath, listening to didgeridoo and the next day gongs, I was mesmerised. Something clicked, something ignited. Reminded me of my roots again.

So whilst I still can’t play the piano 🎹 or strum a guitar 🤣, I know my way around my sound therapy instruments, where they ebb and flow. Where it fills the void and creates spaces.

I have popped in as many sessions as I can run due to my other work, appointments, kids, and summer holidays 😄.

Even if it’s only two of you attending, I will still run them. It’s not about filling the session to be fully booked, more connections, creating a supported space.

A place to land…..May the Hub be that for you 💠

Book at the usual place 🤗

What is the hub all about?

I loved all my travelling to different venues, the people, and the settings. It was part of the process.

But I also wanted a base. Not just to store my equipment and close the door. I wanted somewhere I can create a comfortable community space. Somewhere we can chill without feeling rushed.

Every first session sets the tone for the next sessions; it allows me to figure out if I have given enough time for people to stay and ready when they leave.

Given enough time to catch their breath and steady themselves.

A place to rest and a place to be comfortable enough to have conversations.

One of my controls is always timing ⏱️. The hub gives me the ability to stop time, to stop worrying about time. Catching up, etc.

I wonder if we all feel like this for certain things in our lives?

Home was not always a safe place growing up. So creating the hub and perhaps in future other safe spaces is a dream come true!

We are given insights all the time. We just never have the opportunity to listen and see.

I hope visiting the hub allows you to do that.
