14 months without a full night’s sleep. Here’s what changed.

E’s daughter hadn’t slept through the night in over a year. She told me she was getting desperate.

This is what she said afterwards:

“I can’t thank you enough for your time invested into improving our daughter’s sleep. We had gone 14 months without a full night’s sleep and were getting desperate. You were so patient, knowledgeable, and every bit of advice felt so bespoke and specific to her needs. The improvements we saw were instant and so far long lasting so I could not be happier!”

Since we worked together, her daughter has slept through every single night (bar one night when she was unwell — which is completely normal, by the way).

This clients biggest concern was cost.
I know cost is often the thing that makes people pause before reaching out.
Parents are constantly thinking ‘But what if it doesn’t work?’ and I completely understand.

Thinking long term, costs can come in different forms, such as the impact on your energy, your mood, your relationships and your work.

Investing in support that actually gets results can be the thing that changes everything!

If you resonate with where this mum was, I’d love to help.

I used to dread 7pm.
Bedtime used to feel like clocking if for a nightshirt…. After working all day.
I’d start the routine already anxious. Already anticipating the wake-ups, the resettling, the hour of walking, rocking, praying ‘JUST please go to SLEEP’

My clients before their sleep transformation know this feeling, and I think a lot of you know that feeling too.

Here’s what changed things for me, and for the hundreds of families I’ve worked with since: Having an effective toolkit with guidance, knowledge and gaining the confidence to execute it!

Once you understand it, you stop fighting it, and then things start to shift.

If you’re in that bedtime dread cycle right now, I want to help.
Drop “SLEEP” in my DMs and let’s chat 💜

You’ve read every article. Joined every Facebook group. Asked every mum friend.

Yet, you still feel like you are stuck in a sleep deprivation hole!

Here’s what I want you to hear: you know your baby better than any algorithm does.

My job isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to give you the knowledge, confidence, and tools to make the right decisions for YOUR family.

Because an empowered parent isn’t one who follows the rules perfectly. It’s one who trusts themselves.

If this landed, share it with a mum who needs to hear it today. 💜

The one thing nobody tells you about getting support for your sleep challenge .

It’s not about leaving your baby to cry.

Working on sleep is far more multifaceted than one way.
Sleep foundations are key and need to be laid first and foremost.
As for settling methods, you can be confident in responsive effective methods and hold boundaries, without shutting the door and hoping for the best.

The problem is, most people only ever hear about one way, and it puts them off getting help altogether.

You and your family deserve sleep! It’s a basic human need!
Trust me there’s a way to get there that you can actually feel confident and empowered about, as I teach it to so many families 💜

If you want to know more about how I can support your family get more rest, more energy and more confidence , drop

Feeding to sleep!

I don’t believe there is positive or negative sleep assocations.

Yes there are sleep associations which require more of you…. Feeding, rocking , however IMO they aren’t bad.
Follow and listen to learn why!

If you are in that place I found myself in, and looking for directed support, comment or DM FEED and I’ll be in touch.

Lynsey, how long should my newborn baby be napping for?’

In that 4th trimester it can often feel like a daze of feed, nappy change, sleep and repeat (with some nighttime milk parties of course )! and in the midst of it we are asking how long should should they be napping for throughout the day? So here are some top tips;

✨ Don’t worry about shorter naps, this is totally expected!

✨ If you did want to ensure optimal naps, keeping an eye on sleepy cues and ensuring your little newborn has about 90 mins between naps (avg and depends on individual baby of course)!

✨ To help support and teach your little one to differentiate between day and night, capping naps to a max of 2.5/3hrs will help!

Be sure to share with any other parents you know will find this useful, and follow along for more tips and chats!

Are you craving someone to help you take the first right steps to more sleep, more energy and more predictability?

If so, DM or comment YES and I’ll be in touch.

Thanks, Lynsey x

The first months of motherhood can feel like a whirlwind....add in a heatwave and it adds a new dimension to summer.

As a mum whose first son was born at the start of a 3 month heatwave and Infant sleep coach, I wanted to share with you my top 5 tips to help keep you little one stay cool in the summer, leading on from my night dressing post (see previous post for reference);

1️⃣ Blackout Curtains/ Blinds: Keep the sun out and the room cooler by using blackout curtains during the day. This helps maintain a cool sleeping environment.

2️⃣ Baths aren’t just for evening bath time. If you find your baby is irritable from the heat, a cool bath, maybe before a nap is an ideal way for them to cool down, and a lovely sensory activity too

3️⃣ . I must have tried 3 or 4 different sun shade options and spent ££ in doing so before I discovered the . It covers the whole pram, so no UV rays can get in, it acts as a shield from bugs, such as wasps, and it attaches easily so if it’s a windy day you don’t need to keep adjusting (unlike parasols)!

4️⃣ Hydration: Ensure your baby stays hydrated. If breastfeeding you may notice an increase in your little ones feeding habits, and if bottle feeding, your baby may need feeds more frequently. For older children, stay hydrated through foods as well as liquids such as cucumber and watermelon, a fav in the summer!

5️⃣ Keep rooms cool, by opening windows, and using fans to keep the room cool, allowing air to circulate. Combine with black out curtains / blinds ensuring the fan is out of your babies reach.

What tips worked for you and your families to help keep cool in the summer?

l’d love for you to share them below! Please share this with anyone who would find it useful!

Thanks, Lynsey

✨Summer days…. But the parent version!

Summer is a gorgeous time of year, however I can resonate with so many new mums and dads who are in those first few hazy weeks and months of parenthood, and trying to get their head round so much, including togs, vests and temperatures!

To make this easier to digest please see my guide on how to dress your baby all year through.

Please like and save if you found it useful
