Such a good post

In Warrior II, the breath tells you more than any mirror ever could.

Virabhadrasana II — Warrior II — looks like a pose of strength.

The legs are wide.
The front knee bends deeply.
The arms extend.
The gaze steadies over the front hand.

But the real question is not only:
“Am I doing the shape?”

It is:
🌿 “Can I still breathe inside the shape?”

In the full pose, the body works strongly. The breath may become more audible — but can it remain even?

With the hands on the hips, the arms no longer demand so much energy. The breath may settle. But then something else may be revealed: has the torso begun to lean forward?

With the back against a wall, the body receives support. Now the attention can move more quietly inward. Can the inhalation and exhalation stay balanced? Can the breath reach the back ribs?

This is one of the lessons of Iyengar Yoga.
The form gives the body a container.
The breath shows what is happening inside that container.

If the breath becomes rough, forced, or uneven, the pose is no longer teaching steadiness. It is showing that effort has exceeded clarity.

In Warrior II, the mirror can show the outer shape.
But the breath reveals the quality of the practice.

The breath is the measure.
Practise with guidance, patience, and attention.

💬 Have you noticed your breath change in Warrior II? Share what it teaches you.
