Practicing our bowling skills around the home this week ready for national bowling day next weekend.

The floors have gone head to head to find out which floor is the ultimate bowling champion of Hampden Hall!

We have had such a lovely time enjoying a bit of friendly competition and supporting and cheering each other on!

The winning floor will be announced next week for national bowling day so watch this space!

What a busy and wonderful month we had at Hampden Hall in July!
From trips out strawberry picking, enjoying a pub lunch, and feeding the ducks, to being entertained by our friends from Town Centre Players with hit after hit, there was something for everyone.

We also enjoyed coffee mornings, flower arranging, movie mornings, physical games, jewellery making, celebrating World Ice Cream Day, knitting club, and even Zumba!

My goodness, what a month we've had making so many special memories.

Now the question is... what fun and adventures will August bring? We can't wait to find out! 🌞🎉

Lovely afternoon spent working on this month's Craft Connections! 🎨💌

Our residents love designing their arts and crafts projects to send to their friends around the country. We can't wait to see the wonderful artwork our residents receive from their little pen pals.

It's always so special to see the creativity, kindness, and friendships that grow through every exchange. 💕

Today we're celebrating two valued members of our team on their long service awards! 🎉

Congratulations to Kyle on an incredible 15 years of service at Hampden Hall. Over all these years, you have shown up every single day with compassion, kindness, and respect for all of our residents. Thank you for everything you do for our home. You are a true role model to the entire team, and we are so grateful for your dedication. 💙

Congratulations also to our Unit Manager, Ioana, on receiving her 5 years of service award. Although Ioana hasn't been in her current role for long, she has already made a significant impact. Her leadership, commitment, and passion for providing outstanding care have inspired both residents and colleagues alike. Thank you for everything you bring to Hampden Hall—we're proud to have you as part of our team.

Thank you both for your hard work, loyalty, and commitment. Here's to celebrating your achievements and many more years to come! 💐👏

What a lovely day out enjoying the beautiful sunshine and stunning scenery around Watermead Lake! ☀️🦆
Our residents had a wonderful time feeding the ducks and swans along the water's edge while sharing fond memories of taking their children to feed the ducks when they were younger. It was heartwarming to hear the stories and reminisce about such special times.

After our walk, we headed to the local pub where everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch and, of course, a cheeky pint or two! 🍽️🍺

A fantastic day filled with laughter, friendship, and treasured memories—enjoyed by all. 💙

🍓🥤 There’s something special about the simple moments. 🍓🥤

Today, our residents enjoyed making fresh fruit smoothies together before relaxing and savouring the delicious results. Filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of smiles, it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. 💛

Creating meaningful moments every day is what makes our home so special.

🍦A scoop of ice cream, a sprinkle of toppings, and plenty of smiles. 😊

Yesterday, our residents celebrated National Ice Cream Day with a lovely selection of ice creams and extras to choose from. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying their treats, chatting together, and sharing a few happy memories along the way.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that bring the biggest smiles. 💛🍨

Lovely morning spent with our new friends in the community strawberry picking.

We had a lovely morning selecting only the biggest most juiciest strawberry’s we could fine but we couldn’t off done it without our special friends helping us every step of the way!

and of course no outing is complete with a cuppa and a big slab of cake!
Well what can we say? We deserved a treat after all our hard work! 😜🍓🥰💪🥇🍰☕️

We're proud to announce that Westgate Healthcare is now one of only three care providers in the UK able to deliver the immersive DIET (Dining Immersive Experiential Training) programme in-house.

Thanks to Group Training Manager Maria, who has qualified as a licensed facilitator, every new colleague will now experience this innovative dementia training alongside our Virtual Dementia Experience as part of their induction.

By helping our teams better understand the challenges people living with dementia face at mealtimes, we're building greater empathy, confidence and person-centred care from day one.
