Today I am at home, on zoom, attending a Parkinson’s Worshop with Dr Andrew Hill at The Smae Institute.

♥️👣♥️👣 Parksinson's Disease affects a number of my patients, in many different ways, so learning about this is really important to me. Understanding how it affects my patients and their lives, physically and mentally, not only enables me to have some understanding and compassion towards them, but my ultimate goal is to hear my patients and help them have healthy and comfortable feet (as far as is possible) which can help maintain and improve their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

I much prefer to attend courses in person but today I have my autoclave being serviced. 🔧

I DID IT AGAIN!! ❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍

Today I walked to the Summit of Snowdon and down again. It was beautiful and amazing and really hard work and very wet!! And I LOVED every moment of it. I just love being in the beautiful mountains and I love to give this body of mine a really good workout ❤️❤️ ⛰️ 🌄

HEY, how was your Christmas? I had a lovely 13 day break with my family. It was so nice to rest and have fun with my family and my friends. I've watched lots of TV, had some lovely walks, and I've eaten far too much chocolate, but I don't regret that one little bit! Back to normal eating habits from tomorrow.

So, I feel ready and I am looking forward to work tomorrow. Ive booked my chosen CPD days (continual professional development) at The SMAE Institute for this year. This year I've chosen to study/refresh on:

❤️❤️ Verrucae & other Benign, Premalignant and Malignant Tumours of the foot

❤️❤️ Neurological & Vascular Assessment

❤️❤️ How does Parkinson’s affect the patient and their feet?

Plus I do other CPD from home and this all helps me to stay current and up to date with my knowledge and skills so that I can provide the best possible care for my patients. Sometimes that means referring people on to other professionals, either NHS or private. Its so important to be able to work well with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for your patient's wants and needs.

AND.. I've recently bought myself a new Doppler (as the last one got poorly and broke) so that I can carry on listening to your foot pulses.

Looking forward to seeing my patients and helping you to look after your feet.
