🔥 LOAD vs CAPACITY 🔥
Pain and injury don't always happen because an exercise is "bad"... They often happen when the load placed on a tissue exceeds its current capacity.
🏃♂️ Load = the stress placed on your muscles, tendons, and joints through training, work, or sport.
💪 Capacity = what those tissues can currently tolerate and recover from.
When training load increases too quickly, more weight, more reps, more running, more sport, your tissues may struggle to keep up. This mismatch can lead to pain, reduced performance, and potentially injury.
The answer isn't always to stop loading.
The goal is to gradually build capacity through progressive strength training, appropriate recovery, and sensible load management.
📈 Increase capacity over time, and the loads that once caused pain become manageable.
Train smarter, not just harder.
