We are holding a raffle to win a back to school bundle we have 3 prizes to be won.

You can buy raffle tickets from the office at Burnfoot House Care Home or pm Eileen Hay for bank details if you wish to transfer money & specify what bundle you wish to buy tickets for

Raffle will be drawn on Friday 14th August
All money raised will go towards the

Everyone welcome to come along and enjoy the day 😄 lots of fun to be had .

Anyone wanting to book a table to sell crafts, sents ect on the day there will be a charge of £10 per table you need to phone Burnfoot House Care Home to book this in advance but you can pay your table on day of event.

All money made will go to Burnfoot residents fundraising

This week we enjoyed our Pack up the past reminiscence session. We spent hours looking at lots of different books, information cards, pictures, memorabilia & random object from days gone by. This was so much fun thers we're so many memories & stories being shared with everyone 💖

Our hairdresser popped in for a visit to💇‍♀️ 💇‍♂️
Residents showed of their creative talents 📝🖌
Lots of various board games, highr or lower, quizes & the men enjoyed a beer & game of domino's 🎲♥️

Thanks to everyone who came along to our Dementia Cafe last week.
Was nice to catch up with everyone 😀
We focused on falls this time. Equipment we use to try & prevent falls & Equipment we use if needed in the ecent of a fall.
Tommy Whitelaw popped in for a visit & took time to speak to everyone.
We will keep you posted on date for next Dementia Cafe.
Tommy has agreed to attend the next one and will speak about his own experience & Dementia journey with his mother.

Some of this weeks activities included our sensory sessions. Where we use rummage boxes, sight, smell, touch, a hearing to reduce anxiety & trigger memories that lead to meaningful conversation 😀

Our wing activities included Prize bingo, link & lace ,magnetic boards, target games & hand massage and pamper sessions 💅🎱

Wullie was pleased at winning the World Cup sweepstake 🎉⚽️🏆 well done 👏

Unfrtunately due to extreme warm weather we are cancelling the Dementia Cafe on Friday 17th July.

We are rescheduling for Wednesday 23rd July 2pm hope to see you there 😄
