Here is a great example of ‘alignment’. A teen who rides ponies came in last week because they had got the pony’s back treatment done and found the rider was still ‘wonky’ when sitting in the saddle.

Often it’s hard to spot alignment issues and therefore it can be hard to understand what it means, so I thought I’d post these before and after photos of this patient sitting in the saddle.

Picture 1 was the day before the treatment. You can see the right leg of the rider is much longer than the left and she is sitting off to the right.

Picture 2 is the evening of the same day as treatment. She is sitting much straighter and her stirrups are level.

No tack/stirrups have been changed between photos; only alignment correction.
