Hi all you good people on my page.

On June 7th as one of Lesley’s Mares, I’m doing the 5k in support of Target Ovarian Cancer.

This beautiful picture is of a very dear friend and her horse Travis. Lesley was recently diagnosed with OvC. It’s the type of cancer which creeps up and often is diagnosed too late for successful intervention.

Women need to be more aware of the signs and symptoms which can often be confused with other illnesses.

If you would like to donate or just share this post, it will be much appreciated.

Conditions that are commonly mistaken for ovarian cancer include:

* Irritable Bowel Syndrome — bloating, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort.
* Endometriosis — pelvic pain, painful periods, bloating.
* Ovarian Cysts — pelvic pain, abdominal swelling, pressure.
* Uterine Fibroids — pelvic pressure, bloating, urinary symptoms.
* Urinary Tract Infection — urinary urgency, frequency, pelvic discomfort.
* Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease or indigestion — nausea, fullness, abdominal discomfort.
* Diverticulitis — lower abdominal pain and bowel changes.
* Inflammatory Bowel Disease — abdominal pain, weight loss, bowel habit changes.
* Menopause — fatigue, bloating, changes in appetite or body weight.
* Polycystic O***y Syndrome — ovarian enlargement, pelvic symptoms, irregular periods.
* Pelvic Inflammatory Disease — pelvic pain and fever.
* Colon Cancer — abdominal symptoms and weight loss.
