The wife and family of the late Manus McShane RIP would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered kindness, support and comfort during our recent bereavement. A special word of thanks to Monsignor Andy Dolan for the beautiful celebration of Manusโs Requiem Mass, Rev Fr Pat OโHagan for his prayers at the funeral mass, their regular visits to Manus during his sickness, the comfort and spiritual care they continue to provide and to Rev Fr Patrick Doherty for his attendance at our family home.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated staff in the Renal Unit, Antrim Area Hospital. Your excellence, professionalism and empathy will always be remembered and deeply appreciated. To Gary and Alexa Smyth, your loyal service transporting Manus to hospital over two years and your friendship were always a great source of comfort.
Thank you to Dr Brian Og Kearney and Oncology Team at Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital for your prompt attention, dedication and research work.
We appreciate the care, professionalism and dedication of Dr John Diamond, Dr Lawrence Diamond, Dr Sarah McCusker and all staff of Bellaghy Medical Centre alongside the District Nursing Team. Sincere thanks to Maurice Diamond and staff at Bellaghy Pharmacy. Your help, care and guidance were greatly valued. To the dedicated team of carers and NI Hospice Specialist Nurses your compassion and dignified care were truly appreciated.
We are deeply grateful to the family circle, our friends, our great neighbours and the wider community for your support, prayers and kindness, providing and serving food, carparking, friendship and comfort to the family. To members of Wolfe Tones Bellaghy GAC for marshalling and to all local businesses who provided meals during the wake, your kindness and generosity will always be appreciated. To all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of support, who called at the family home, attended the funeral or kept us in your thoughts and prayers, your kindness and support have comforted us during this difficult time.
Sincere and special thanks to Eimear Mulholland, The Gribbin Girls, Edel Graham, Bellaghy CCE, Portglenone CCE and friends for the most beautiful singing and music during the Requiem Mass and burial and to Claire McNicholl for your rendition at the Wake. Your talents provided a great source of comfort and were a most fitting tribute. To the Sacristan and Grave Diggers thank you for your respectful and dignified work.
Thank you to the catering committee of St Maryโs Parochial Hall for use of the building and providing refreshments following the Funeral.
A special thank you to WJ OโDonnell Funeral Directors for the professional, caring and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and for the support and guidance provided throughout.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.
Manusโs months mind mass will be celebrated on Friday 18th September at 5.30pm in St Maryโs Church Bellaghy.
