The weather looks to be picking back up this weekend and many will be tempted to cool off in the water. Cold water shock happens quickly, even to strong swimmers - if you’re in trouble in the water, could save your life:

• Tilt your head back with ears submerged
• Relax and try to control your breathing
• Use your hands to help you stay afloat
• It’s OK if your legs sink, we all float differently

If you see someone in trouble in the water, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.

Remember it. Practise it. Share it.

*Network outage update*

We are continuing to experience internet and phone line connection issues at some of our sites across Lancashire and South Cumbria. This is due to a network outage affecting our network provider and we are working with them to fix the issue. Other organisations are also affected.

Sites experiencing issues include:

• Adlington Clinic
• Astra Business Centre
• Brookside Retirement Village
• Buckshaw Village
• Cameron House
• Coppull Clinic
• DeVitre House, Lancaster
• Eccleston Health Centre

As a result, you may struggle to get in contact with services or individuals based within these buildings or wards.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We will update you again as soon as we can.
