‼️‼️‼️ SUN DAMAGE ALERT ‼️‼️‼️

🤎 I came across the photo and post below from 6 years ago on my Facebook Memories.

😱 I was SH😱CKED when I looked at my skin… I did NOT think my skin was ever Sun Damaged, never mind that much!!! 😲😲😲

🧖🏼‍♀️ I started using Tropic Skincare just over 7 years ago and back then I wasn’t as ‼️obsessed‼️ about SPF as I am now.

💛 I’d say I’ve been using SPF every day now for the last 4 years.

💛 I use Sun Day 365/6 days per year no matter what the weather; it’s SPF50.

☁️ You can still get damage from the sun even on a cloudy day.

☀️ UVA Rays are harmful and pe*****te the clouds.

UVA - A for Aging
UVB - B for B🔥rning

🔥 UVA and UVB rays can damage your skin even when it’s cloudy, overcast, or doesn’t feel sunny.

Here’s the difference:

- UVA rays are present all year round, from sunrise to sunset. They can pe*****te clouds and even glass (such as car windows). UVA is the main cause of:
* Premature skin ageing (wrinkles and age spots)
* Some skin cancers
* Damage to collagen and elastin

- UVB rays are stronger in the spring and summer and around the middle of the day. They don’t pass through glass very well, but up to about 80% of UVB can still pass through clouds, so you can still burn on an overcast day.

🙏 Sorry I’ve been quite on here lately…

… been busy…

… with Life! 😫🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

🤎 So my last post was about Sun Spritz, the facial mist.

🤔 I’m not sure I’m the best person to be trying this out…

… for 2 reasons…

1️⃣ I’m useless with taking Before and After photos in similar lighting… and, despite getting an LED light attachment for my phone, I’m also USEless with Technology AND Gadgets and have NO Patience WHATsoever to read a manual to learn how!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

2️⃣ I’m now swimming 5 times per week in either the sea, lake or pool and always have my head in the water so as Sun Spritz is NOT waterproof it probably has no chance to stay on my skin! 😫🙄🤣

💡 I’ve also just discovered, after allowing your skincare to fully absorb, you have to then apply Sun Spritz BEFORE applying SPF, if used during the day…

… I’ve been applying it After my SPF 🙈 so not sure these photos are of any use whatsoever only to show how terrible I am at taking selfies!!! 🤳😫🙄🫣🤭🤣

🥾 A (NOT) so enjoyable hike in The Mournes today.

⛰️ 3h 37 mins of torture and we (or rather I) reached (NO) Summit…
… I’m sacking my Tour Guide!!! 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️🤭🤣

☁️ Even though it’s a dull day I still had my SPF on… my skin burns otherwise. 🔥😫
