💛 Volunteers Needed – Can You Help?

We’re looking for volunteers to support our Fundraising Table Top Sale on Saturday 22 August 2026 at Cornhill Centre.

The event will run from 10:00am–2:00pm, and we would really appreciate some extra helping hands throughout the day.

You can join us from:

🕘 9:00am – to help with setting up
or
🕙 10:00am – to support during the event

There are lots of ways to get involved, including:

• Setting up tables
• Welcoming visitors
• Helping in the café
• Running games and activities
• Selling donated items
• Helping with tidying and clearing away

You don’t need to do everything — even a few hours of your time would make a real difference.

We are looking for good-quality donations to support our Fundraising Table Top Sale on Saturday 22 August 2026 and help raise funds for Cornhill Centre.

We welcome donations of:
• Books and puzzles
• Toys and games
• Bric-a-brac
• Homeware
• Craft materials
• Plants
• Unopened toiletries
• Raffle prizes

Please make sure all donated items are clean, complete and in good condition.

Join us for a Fundraising Table Top Sale at Cornhill Centre on Saturday 22 August 2026, from 10:00am–2:00pm.

Come along and browse a variety of tables, pick up some pre-loved bargains, enjoy games and relax with refreshments from our café. It will be a friendly community day for people of all ages, with all proceeds helping to support Cornhill Centre and the activities we provide.

Fun Friday! The balloon mayhem is always popular! We love being with the Friday Club.. Totally volunteer lead, very rewarding. We welcomed Hayden last week joining Nick in our kitchen. Thank you to everyone that volunteers with us. Some have multiple roles too. Jocelyn, Jen, Sarah, Lesley, Kim, Barbara, Stacey, Alison, Steve,Tim, Steph, Nick, Kate, Joe, Hayden. All stars!

📢 Centre Closure Notice

Due to the extreme weather conditions, Cornhill Community Centre will be closed from Wednesday 24th June to Friday 26th June.

This means that Warm Welcome Café and Friday Club will not be running this week.

We hope everyone is keeping cool and safe during this period. Please take extra care of yourselves and check in on anyone who may be vulnerable.

☀️ Tips for staying safe in the heat:
• Drink plenty of fluids
• Check on vulnerable neighbours, friends and family
• Take cool baths or showers
• Wear loose, light-coloured clothing
• Use water sprays or damp cloths to cool down
• Avoid the sun between 11am–3pm
• Avoid excess alcohol
• Avoid extreme exercise

If you feel unwell or are concerned about someone, please seek medical advice or call 111.
