Where are you holding your stress today? Comment A, B, C or D below and tell us why.

Most of us are walking around carrying tension we don’t even notice until someone asks. Maybe it’s the neck and shoulders from being hunched over a laptop all day. Maybe it’s a jaw that’s been clenched since that stressful email this morning. Or maybe it’s a lower back that’s been complaining since last week’s DIY project.

I want to hear from you. Comment your letter, and if you’ve got a story to go with it (what triggered it, what’s helped, what hasn’t) share it below. Sometimes just naming where the tension sits is the first step to actually dealing with it.

If D is your answer and it’s becoming a regular thing, that’s usually your body telling you it’s time for some proper attention, not just a hot water bottle and hope.

Stop scrolling for gift ideas. This is the one.

Ashburton Therapy gift vouchers are here, and they solve the hardest gift to buy for: the person who has everything, the one who never treats themselves, the one who’s always looking after everyone else.

Birthdays. Anniversaries. New mums and mums-to-be. Christmas. A thank you. Or just because they deserve it.

Because sometimes the best gift isn’t a thing. It’s an hour to stop, switch off and be properly looked after.

Shoulder tension isn’t random. It’s your desk telling on you. 😩

Screen-leaning + phone cradling + stress = tight shoulders and tension headaches by 5pm.

Small posture tweaks help. But sometimes it’s your chest or jaw dragging your shoulders forward too. So treatment looks at the whole picture, not just the sore spot.

Where is your pain after a long day in the office?

What’s the problem? Are you waiting for it to get worse before you do something about it?

Your body’s been dropping hints for a while now. The tension in your shoulders, the tight jaw, the aches that don’t shift on their own… none of that is normal, and none of it has to stay that way.

This is exactly what soft tissue therapy and TMJ work are for. Book in with me and let’s get you feeling like yourself again. Link in bio.

That ringing in your ears? It might be coming from your jaw, not your ears.
Long before the jaw itself hurts, TMJ issues often show up as headaches around the temples, earache with no ear infection, clicking or tightness when you eat, and even tinnitus.

Because these symptoms look unrelated, a lot of people spend months seeing different specialists before anyone looks at the jaw itself.

Clenching and grinding, especially overnight, puts constant strain on the muscles and joint that connect your jaw to your skull. Over time that strain radiates outward.

I’m a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist trained specifically in TMJ therapy. If you’ve been dealing with unexplained headaches or jaw tension, it might be worth a proper look.

Eight weeks. That’s how long it took to turn a lengthy, ongoing neck problem into something practically back to normal, one treatment at a time.

It’s easy to underestimate how much stiffness and pain build up over time, and how much patience it takes to properly ease it out again. This client stuck with the process, and the results speak for themselves.

Reviews like this one remind me why I do this work. Knowing someone can move through their day without that nagging pain following them around is the whole point. Thank you so much🤍

If you’ve got something similar lingering, whether it’s your neck, shoulders, or somewhere else that’s been bothering you for longer than you’d like, get in touch and let’s work out a plan together.

Sometimes a massage can leave you feeling a little… different. And that’s completely normal.

When your body finally gets the chance to slow down, your nervous system can respond in all sorts of ways. You might feel sleepy, emotional, notice your tummy rumbling, or feel a little tender the next day.

There’s no “right” way to feel after a treatment. Everyone responds differently, and sometimes letting go of physical tension can bring emotions with it too.

So afterwards, take things gently. Have some water, stretch if you need to, rest, and listen to what your body is asking for.

Your treatment doesn’t necessarily end when you leave the table. Sometimes, the reset happens afterwards. 🤍

My job is to help reduce pain, improve movement and get your tissues functioning better. But lasting results happen when we combine treatment with the right advice and exercises at home.

That doesn’t mean spending hours stretching every day. Often, just a few minutes of the right movements make a real difference.

At every appointment, I’ll give you advice specific to your body, your lifestyle and your goals.

Because recovery isn’t just about what happens on the treatment couch. It’s about what happens afterwards too.

Swipe through for a few simple ways to support your recovery between sessions.
