A perfect Wimbledon afternoon at Banbury Heights! 🍓🎾

This afternoon our residents enjoyed watching the Wimbledon tennis while tucking into delicious fresh strawberries and cream- a much loved Wimbledon tradition! 🍓☀️

There was plenty of conversation, laughter and tennis chat as everyone relaxed together and enjoyed a lovely summer afternoon.

🌞 Summer BBQ Fun at Banbury Heights! 🌞

Our residents, their families and staff enjoyed a fantastic Summer BBQ today, filled with delicious food, music, laughter and wonderful company.

Due to the hot weather, we brought the celebration indoors to ensure everyone stayed cool and comfortable while still enjoying the BBQ atmosphere ☀️🍔🌭
It was lovely to see everyone chatting, laughing and making the most of the afternoon together.

Today at Banbury Heights, we came together with our residents, families and friends to celebrate VE Day in wonderful style 🇬🇧✨

The day began with fantastic live entertainment from Vintage Ruby, bringing the spirit of the 1940s to life with classic songs that had everyone singing along, smiling, and reminiscing ❤️🎶

Following the entertainment, residents enjoyed a lovely cheese and wine tasting afternoon, spending quality time together sharing conversation, laughter, and memories🍷🧀

It has been a truly special day of celebration, companionship, and reflection as we honoured such an important moment in history with our Banbury Heights family ❤️

🐰HAPPY EASTER FROM BANBURY HEIGHTS🐰

Our residents have had a lovely and busy week leading up to Easter! 🐣🌸
We were delighted to welcome Chris the Piano Man, who filled the home with wonderful music for everyone to enjoy. We were also very proud to see our resident Val play the piano, something she use to do as a teenager! A lovely moment enjoyed by all. 🎶🎹

Residents also got creative with Easter crafts and had lots of fun making their own Easter bonnets and a collage 🎨
We also had a very special visit from Jess the Dinosaur, which brought lots of smiles and laughter to everyone! 🦖

A big thank you to our volunteer Jon for leading a relaxing and enjoyable poetry session, which was appreciated by all. 📖

To finish off the week, we drew the winner of our Easter hamper and handed out delicious chocolate eggs to celebrate the occasion! 🍫🐰It’s been a week full of smiles, creativity, and togetherness. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets and to all those who helped make this week so special for our residents. 💛

🌷💐 A Busy and Beautiful Mother’s Day Weekend at Banbury Heights 💐🌷

We’ve had a lovely weekend here at Banbury Heights celebrating together. Our residents enjoyed cheese and wine tasting, followed by a relaxing flower arranging session, where beautiful displays were created to brighten the home🌸

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we held a special sherry & social afternoon, filled with conversation, laughter, and time spent together.
Each of our wonderful ladies was also presented with a rose to mark the occasion and show how much they are appreciated. 🌹❤️
It has been a weekend full of smiles, celebration, and special moments with our residents and their loved ones

We’ve been sowing seeds, tidying up the garden, and getting everything ready for spring🌸Residents enjoyed getting their hands in the soil, chatting about gardening, and watching the space come back to life 🥰🌿

Music, Poetry & Smiles at Banbury Heights🎶📖

This week we were delighted to welcome Chris the Piano Man, who entertained us with some wonderful piano music. There was lots of toe-tapping, smiling, and residents enjoying familiar tunes together. 🎹✨

Today, we also welcomed volunteer Jon, who led a poetry reading session. Residents listened closely, joined in where they could, and enjoyed the calm, reflective atmosphere the poems created. 📖💬

It’s been a lovely balance of lively entertainment and peaceful moments, and wonderful to see residents engaging in different ways.
Thank you to everyone who helps bring these special experiences into our home❤️

🌷💬 Sharing Ideas & Celebrating Activity Leads 💛

Shipston Lodge was delighted to host our quarterly Activity Lead Group Meeting from our 4 locations. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, share ideas, experiences and inspiration, and continue supporting meaningful activities across our homes.

The meeting also coincided with National Activity Providers Week, so each attendee was gifted a beautiful bunch of tulips as a small thank you for the wonderful work they do. A lovely way to celebrate connection, collaboration and creativity. 🌷

🌸✨ Flower Arranging Fun Today! ✨🌸

Our residents enjoyed a lovely flower arranging session today, led by Ethel, who previously worked in a floristry shop, showed us all exactly how it’s done! 💐👏

Several residents got involved in arranging the flowers, while others enjoyed smelling the fresh blooms and admiring the beautiful colours.
The room was filled with smiles, conversation, and the wonderful scent of flowers.
It was a calm, relaxing afternoon and a joy to see everyone taking part in their own way. Well done, Ethel, a true flower arranging pro! 🌷💖
