🌿 Sunday Reset

We’ve been a little quiet on here this week… and you know what? That’s ok.

Sometimes life gets busy. Sometimes you need to step back, catch your breath and simply be.

So, as Sunday evening rolls around, here’s your little reminder:

You don’t need to have everything figured out tonight.
You don’t need to be productive every minute.
And you don’t need to carry last week’s worries into a new one.

Maybe tonight is for a cup of tea, an early night, a walk, some time with the people you love… or simply doing absolutely nothing. ☕️

A new week doesn’t have to mean a fresh list of pressures.

It can be a fresh opportunity to slow down, check in with yourself and think about what you actually need. 🤍

So, what do you need a little more of this week?

Rest?
Boundaries?
Connection?
Time outdoors?
A little kindness towards yourself?

Whatever it is, start there. 🌱

Happy Sunday from all of us at Insula Wellbeing.

💗 Remembering Dolly Parton | 1946–2026

There are some people who leave the world a little brighter than they found it. Dolly Parton was one of them.

Her famous quote 💄 “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap!” makes me smile every time I hear it.

Dolly reminded us that we can be ambitious and kind, successful and humble, serious and silly — and that being yourself is always worth it.

So, as we say goodbye to Dolly, we’d love to know:

What’s your favourite Dolly Parton quote? 💕

Share it with us below. Let’s fill the comments with a little bit of Dolly’s wisdom, humour and kindness. 🦋

Rest in peace, Dolly. ❤️

Where in Ireland are we? 🍀🥾

Fresh air, big views, a few snacks along the way and the feeling of reaching the top… there’s something pretty special about getting out into nature. 🌿⛰️

Our Wander Bear has been on another adventure — hiking, taking in the scenery, fuelling up with a few well-earned snacks and making it all the way to the summit! 🐻🥾

And after the climb? Time to slow down, rest those legs and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. 💚

Can you guess where we are in Ireland? 🇮🇪

Here’s your clue: this mountain has a very special connection to St Patrick… 👀

Sometimes wellbeing really is as simple as stepping outside, moving your body, breathing in some fresh air and giving yourself time to pause.

✨Meet the team - Karen ✨

For me, therapy starts with the therapeutic relationship. I believe that feeling heard, understood and able to be yourself is fundamental to meaningful therapeutic work.

I work collaboratively with clients, helping them identify what they want to change and setting realistic, meaningful goals to work towards together.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Together, we explore the thoughts, beliefs and patterns that may be contributing to distress, while also looking at behaviours that might be keeping difficulties going. From there, we work towards practical changes, building new ways of thinking and behaving that can make a real difference in everyday life.

One of Insula Wellbeing’s core values that particularly resonates with me is honest guidance. Therapy isn’t about simply telling someone what they want to hear or saying that everything is going to be fine. I believe in being open and honest, while always approaching difficult conversations with compassion, respect and understanding.

I work with a wide range of difficulties, including:

• Anxiety
• Depression and low mood
• Relationship difficulties
• Grief and loss
• Low self-esteem
• Assertiveness and confidence
• Stress and difficulties with coping
• Other challenges affecting emotional wellbeing

I am also an approved provider with AXA Health, Aviva, WPA and H3.

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active through running and walking, spending time with family, enjoying good food, whether that’s at home or trying somewhere new and I particularly love trips up to the North Coast. 🌊

I feel privileged to be able to support people through difficult periods in their lives, and I believe that therapy works best when we work with each other, rather than me simply telling you what to do.

If you think CBT might be helpful for you, get in touch with Insula Wellbeing to find out more.

Well… you’ll definitely know where Wander Bear is now! 😂🎢🎡 and, frankly, he has been having the time of his life.

He braved the rides on his own… joined us on a few… hung out with the kids… tried his luck on the grabber machine in the hope of finding himself a friend 🧸😂… and somehow managed to win enough tickets to make us question whether he has been secretly practising.

And after all that excitement, he finished the day with a Chinese 🥡

There’s something about amusement parks that brings out the child in all of us. The excitement, the nerves before a ride, the ridiculous laughter, the competitive determination to win a toy you absolutely do not need… and the memories you make along the way.

Maybe we could all do with a little more of that sometimes.

Life can be very serious. Work, responsibilities, worries and endless to-do lists can take up so much space that we forget that fun matters too. Being playful, laughing until your stomach hurts and doing something simply because it makes you happy are all part of looking after ourselves.

So today’s little Wander Bear reminder:
You don’t always need a reason to have fun. Sometimes fun is the reason. ❤️

Now… where will he wander off to next? 👀🐻

🐻✈️ Wander Bear is on his travels again! 🐻

Wonder where he’s off to this time? 👀🗺️

If only he could do a bit of car valeting before he goes… 😂🙈

He’s clearly got the travelling sorted — just not the cleaning! 🤣

Where do you think Wander Bear is heading today? 🐻💙

Some mornings, the to-do list feels louder than anything else.

This morning, I really didn't feel like stepping away. There are emails to answer, calls to return, and more jobs than hours in the day. Walking the dog felt like another thing taking up time.

But sometimes, the most productive thing we can do is step away.

As I watched this little one racing across the beach, I was reminded that dogs don't worry about tomorrow's meetings or yesterday's mistakes. They instinctively know how to be present. They explore, they breathe, they run, they rest.

There's something we can learn from that.

Stepping away isn't avoiding life. It's giving your mind and body the space they need to reset so you can return with more clarity, energy and perspective.

If you've been telling yourself you're "too busy" to pause today, perhaps that's the very sign that you need to.

💚 What's one small thing you could do today to be more present?

If you're finding life overwhelming and could benefit from some support, we're here to help.
