Legislation needs to be introduced urgently to ensure the prevention of any Funeral Director malpractice including the hoarding of the deceased, degrading storage of the deceased including ashes and preventing the lawful burial of the deceased.

Hughie Jones was one of Bangor’s characters. Often seen riding his electric bike, he was a loveable man who will be missed by his family and by his many friends, especially those who would regularly join him in Weatherspoons.

His funeral was today and it was my privilege to lead the service.
