From quick chats to big smiles (and a few “just grab and go” moments), it was lovely meeting so many of you.

I refuse to build a care business on the backs of underpaid people.

At GoodOaks Barnet & Enfield, our care professionals earn £15.50–£17 an hour.

Not the minimum. A deliberate choice.

Could I make more money by paying less?
Yes.

Will I?
No.

The people who walk into someone’s home, earn their trust, protect their dignity and help them stay independent are not a cost to be cut. They are the business.

Care is hard, skilled work that needs real empathy. Paying the absolute minimum turns it into a cold transaction — and that’s not how we do things here.

I want my team respected, recognised and properly rewarded. And as we grow, I want their pay to grow with us.

If care is ever going to be treated as the valuable profession it is, more of us have to stop accepting the floor as good enough.

We’re starting here. 💚

💙 Celebrating Kindness, Creativity, and Community 🧸

At GoodOaks Homecare – Barnet & Enfield, we’re continually inspired by the incredible people we have the privilege of supporting.

Our wonderful client Myrna has been lovingly hand-knitting teddies for Teddies for Tragedies – a charity that provides handmade comfort teddies to children and adults affected by disasters, conflict, illness, and trauma around the world.

Seeing Myrna’s collection of beautifully crafted teddies grow is truly heartwarming. Every stitch represents kindness, compassion, and the desire to bring comfort to someone who needs it most.

We’re so proud to support Myrna in continuing a hobby that not only brings joy and purpose but also makes a real difference to others.
